The Promise of Chang An with Cheng Yi, Zhao Ying Zi, and Han Dong drops long trailer

The Promise of Chang An (长安诺) is an upcoming historical drama with a love triangle featuring Cheng Yi, Zhao Ying Zi, and Han Dong. Our leading lady is a bright young miss who meets and is childhood sweethearts with 9th prince (Cheng Yi). However, their love is not meant to be when news of his death reaches her and she’s forced to marry to his older brother Xiao Cheng Rui, who later becomes King. While she has a son with the king, the younger brother establishes military achievements one after another, helping his older brother stabilize the country. However, the two brothers aren’t meant to meet and clash it out as older brother dies and the throne is given to his son while younger bro becomes Prince Regent. Son distrusts his uncle, while uncle tries to rekindle a lost love with his mama.

First Impression: What do you think of Under the Power with Ren Jia Lun and Tan Song Yun?

Our lead characters play two investigative bureaus during the Ming Dynasty. He serves for the imperial secret police group called the Embroidered Uniform Guards and she’s a female Constable from Liu Shan Men, a government branch responsible for safety of the capital. Our two leads meet when funds raised to repair a river went missing and her people are tasked to provide assistance to his people. She’s of course huffy puffy about working under him and he’s too proud (son of the leader). Motivated by self-interests, he doesn’t treat her kindly and things come to a climax when she finds out that the Embroidered Uniform Guards were involved in her parents’ deaths.

Listening Snow Tower Ending: Has Qin Jun Jie mastered the arts of blood-spitting?

Some of our members are following this drama and were talking about the ending, so I figured I could take a look…then I stumbled on the hilarious edits made by fans of the Qin Jun Jie and Co. spitting blood. Listening Snow Tower is a wuxia novel written by Cang Yue, first book in a trilogy. The name of the series stands for the name of the manor in the novel, a famous assassinating organization led by our enigmatic hero – Xiao Yi Qing (actor Qin Jun Jie), who is on a quest to rule jianghu and has built the place on blood and tears.
