Boss And Me: Thai Remake with Aom Sushar and Push Puttichai

Here it is…Thai slowly remaking the popular Cdramas and this time, it’s Boss and Me (杉杉来了); the original aired in 2014 with Zhao Li Ying and Zhang Han. This has been postponed since June of this year so I was surprised to see the airdate dropped so fast. It is based on a novel written by Gu Man. Original Synopsis: Feng Teng (Push Puttichai) is a rich heir and the president of a giant conglomerate. He has a younger sister, Feng Yue, with a very rare blood type. Therefore, he recruits Shan Shan (Aom Sushar), who shares the same blood type as Feng Yue, into the company to be a blood donor. Interesting anecdotes occur when Feng Teng intentionally tries to fatten up Shan Shan, who loves eating. As Feng Teng gets to know Shan Shan, he discovers her innocence and kind heart beyond her clumsy nature, and falls in love with her. [Credit: Wiki]

Jeremy Tsui and Meng Zi Yi confirmed for novel-to-drama adaptation of The Times Spent in Pretense (Zao Zuo Shi Guang)

The Times Spent in Pretense (造作时光) is adapted from the novel written by Yue Xia Die Ying. The novel sounds lighthearted and zippy, with an adorable focus on family dynamics. Male lead is our Crown Prince – highly skilled in many areas, but he is lazy with an unpleasant personality. His moves/actions are often misconstrued by the Emperor and the subjects (they over-analyze, LOL). Female lead is from the House of Hua, a family known for their military accomplishments. She fights really well, is capable, unruly, and armed with a sharp tongue. However, she has a very odd dream. She wants to become known as the beautiful…..and sickly beauty, like…. Xi Shi. LOL. So she works hard towards creating an image of a delicate flower to the outsiders. The Emperor wants the two to get married and from that, a lot of hilarious moments arise.

This sounds oh-so-cute!

Hug You Through Lies: Chinese remake of Taiwanese drama with Tang Min and Liu Yu Han

Hug You Through Lies (穿过谎言拥抱你) is a remake of 2007’s Taiwanese drama My Lucky Star with Jimmy Lin and Yoo Ha Na. The story follows our heroine who poses as a jewelry con artist to trick people into buy fake expensive jewelries. She meets our hero – a spoiled rich young master of a jewelry company who ran away after stealing a precious necklace from his family. They become friends and he also happens to be the only person who believes her when she’s telling the truth and encourages her to step out of her past mistakes and pursue a career as a jewelry designer. She, in turn, helps him see the value of jewelries and his family’s hard work.

I do not recognize the male lead at all but he was in Twelve Legends and Love Like White Jade this past year.

Unrest in Shanghai keeps Chen Xing Xu, Zhang Jing Yi, and Lin Yan Jun on their toes in Fall In Love

After being postponed in August, Fall in Love (一见倾心) is slated to air 11/9!

It’s a republican series and the story begins in 1926 when our heroine (Zhang Jing Yi) returns to her homeland in China with her mother’s ashes. Her parents split when she was young and now she musters up the courage to return to his residence with the goal of trying to find out what happened in the past that led to their split and the loss of lives (her siblings). She meets two powerful men on opposite end of the unrest in Shanghai: our male lead (Chen Xing Xu), a newly appointed commander of the Shanghai army, and our second male lead (Lin Yan Jun), son of a powerful military general. The three become friends and go through many life and death events together.

Till The End of The Moon reunites Bai Lu and Luo Yun Xi for their second collaboration

Sorry for the lack of updates last week, I was on vacation for 9 days and just got back 2 hours ago!

Till The End of The Moon (长月无烬) is adapted from the novel Black Moonlight Holds the BE Script written by Teng Luo Wei Zhi. The novel opens up with our female lead, Li Su Su (Bai Lu) tumbling through time – 500 years into the past, a time where demons haven’t controlled the Earth/realms yet. She makes an agreement with the soul of her new body, Ye Xi Wu, to save the her family from the evil thing. Ye Xi Wu is the third daughter of General Ye who is recently married to the future demon lord, Tan Tai Jin (Luo Yun Xi). For now, Tan Tai Jin is a mere hostage prince, taken to the Great Xia Empire at the tender age of six and is hated/mistreated by everyone. HOHOHO, is this not my favorite trope or what. Lol. xD Our female lead is from the future, daughter of No. 1 Immortal Sect. The demon lord wrecks havoc and rules over the realm in the present, killing and annihilating every sect, burying them in the infamous Thousand Immortals Tomb. In the present time, Su Su had one encounter with Demon Lord and he spared her life, and she’s then chosen to travel back in time and prevent all the misery from happening by removing the evil bone in his body and only then can he be killed. Who would have thought, spending time with the young him would draw out forbidden feelings, complicating her mission and compromising her heart.

DUN DUN DUN, I like the sound of this one! Woot Woot! =D

Our hero’s sweetheart (heroine) dies from a car accident and he uses a camera to time-travel back in time, hoping to save her. But despite his efforts, the ending is the same, prompting him to time-travel many times until he realizes he IS NOT the only one who has been tampering with the past. O_O

Yao Chi and Chen Yu Si weave a love story on stage in Out Of The Dream

Out of The Dream (梦见狮子) is adapted from the novel written by Xiao Hu Ru Wei and tells the romance between a Chinese Opera actress and a stage play producer. She’s a Peking performer who is kicked out due to a mistake and is chosen by our male lead for his plays, unfortunately, it doesn’t last long and they are separated due to a death. They meet again later but crisis after crisis comes their way.
