Costume drama Pull Strings with Ao Rui Peng and Sun Zhen Ni wrapped up filming

Pull Strings (师兄太稳健) is adapted from the novel written by Yan Gui Zheng Zhuan. You can read the novel here.

The story follows our male lead who was reborn into the ancient times and tries his best to live as long as possible as a cultivator. He doesn’t want to get entangled and hence always thinks twice about everything, which of course leads him into humorous troublesome situations. A male lead who always has backup plans of plans. Lol. His peaceful life is disrupted when his master accepts a junior sister! Sounds like a mine for comedy.

The Blossoming Love with Zhang Bin Bin and Sun Zhen Ni starts the New Year with another Blossom-named drama

Heheh, we ended the year on a good note with Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui’s Blossom, and now will start 2025 with this series. That’s not the end of it either as Sun Zhen Ni also has a currently in post-production drama with Li Hong Yi called Blossom in Darkness. 😛

Anyhoo, The Blossoming Love (千朵桃花一世开) is adapted from the novel A Thousands of Peach Blossoms For A Lifetime written by Sui Yu Er An. It’s a xianxia, following the love story of our leads. In their first lifetime, he was an emperor and sacrificed himself in the battle against the god. His lover risked her all to save a piece of his soul which puts him into eternal reincarnation. They meet again on opposing side of good and evil. He is now cold and ruthless, a fearless leader, while she’s the enticing and charming maiden of the dark side. Ha. This description is right up Zhen Ni’s wheelhouse as she plays quite the adorable temptress in Til The End of The Moon. Our maiden saves the hero in one instance and uses that excuse to rope him along on her journey.

Airing 1/2/2025!

Angsty Xianxia drama Till the End of the Moon with Bai Lu and Luo Yun Xi confirms air date in April

Till The End of The Moon (长月无烬) is adapted from the novel Black Moonlight Holds the BE Script written by Teng Luo Wei Zhi. The novel opens up with our female lead, Li Su Su (Bai Lu) tumbling through time – 500 years into the past, a time where demons haven’t controlled the Earth/realms yet. She makes an agreement with the soul of her new body, Ye Xi Wu, to save the her family from the evil thing. Ye Xi Wu is the third daughter of General Ye who is recently married to the future demon lord, Tan Tai Jin (Luo Yun Xi). For now, Tan Tai Jin is a mere hostage prince, taken to the Great Xia Empire at the tender age of six and is hated/mistreated by everyone. HOHOHO, is this not my favorite trope or what. Lol. xD Our female lead is from the future, daughter of No. 1 Immortal Sect. The demon lord wrecks havoc and rules over the realm in the present, killing and annihilating every sect, burying them in the infamous Thousand Immortals Tomb. In the present time, Su Su had one encounter with Demon Lord and he spared her life, and she’s then chosen to travel back in time and prevent all the misery from happening by removing the evil bone in his body and only then can he be killed. Who would have thought, spending time with the young him would draw out forbidden feelings, complicating her mission and compromising her heart.

You can read the novel here @ Second Life Translations. Ongoing.

Woohoo! I’m excited for this! Maybe this will be the drama that gets me out of my drama slump. I also realized I haven’t watched Bai Lu in anything before, mostly followed her BTS and variety shows. I love her visual and personality. As for Yun Xi, ain’t he the most beautiful demon who spends a fortune on hair and hair accessory/products in the trailers? 😛

Airing 4/6~

Oho Ou Hao and Hai Ling’s Hero’s Dream confirms air date with long preview

Adapted from a sci-fi novel Heaven’s Will, webdrama Hero’s Dream (天意之秦天宝鉴) is written by Qian Li Fang. Not much about the novel is talked about but the vague synopsis describes the journey of a young talented lad (Ou Hao) after he’s offered an opportunity by a mysterious man to change his life. His character becomes the god of war – the Great General Han Xin, who served under Liu Bang (Zhang Dan Feng) and contributed to the founding of the Han dynasty. The promises of intriguing power plays, manipulations, and mysterious unknown forces all come together for (hopefully) an excellent re-imagining of history.
