Yu Zheng’s first modern drama (he’s the producer), tentatively called Love Up In the Air (or Cloud in the Air) has a booting ceremony to begin filming on April 18th. I think he’s only interested in messing with the wuxia world; Modern world is enough of a chaotic place without his paws on them. Chen Xiao (Romance of the Condor Heroes) and Yuan Shan Shan (City of Angels) are the leads. I did not remember these two were paired up way back in Beauties of the Emperor! I hated her character so much in that drama…..she literally got every single man she wanted in there! Truth be told, I’m not a fan of this pairing. Yuan Shan Shan has yet to capture me with her performance. Might this be the one?
The premise revolves around the entertainment business. Raised by her grandmother, our heroine treks her way to Beijing to find her biological mother and unintentionally steps into the world of showbiz. With her pure beauty and passion for acting, she paves her way into the heart of our jaded hero and his wild ways. Oh Yumama, this is the bread and butter of Korean dramas! LOL. What are you doing? They are experts in this area.

I think I am gonna skip this one… YSS is awful in acting. It does not help that her plastic surgery prevents her emoting. I feel like shes joking 90% of the time.

I wish Chen Xiao would get away from Yu Zheng productions. He has way more potential than being stuck with the man.

I sometimes wonder too, Chen Xiao has star power, why stick with Yumama’s productions. I guess netizens were right when they said that Zhao Li Ying is a risk-taker and ambitious in her career. That statement rings true and I like her more for it!

Zhao Li Ying really does seem like she’s very passionate about acting. She tries to pick diverse roles and look for room to improve. Chen Xiao is good but he needs to pick the project carefully. I am actually waiting for ‘Love, Life and Lie’ with Chen Xiao and Zhao Dong Yu to see if they have chemistry. The premise is literally poor girl with positive and loving personality falling in love with young, cold, rich guy.
