Just in the second week and we have a royal wedding? Thanks to the dark palette theme their wedding robes glow and stand out like never before. Thanks to Brittany‘s tipoff in the cbox, Dramafever will be subbing this drama starting Monday! Yay! Then I can get their videos and subtitles for my uploads. Folks can download the series then. =)

I’ve been dying waiting for subs for my most anticipated dramas. I’m so happy with this news! 😀 Cant wait to start it! Thank you!

Yay! Thanks for the good news! I’m still liking it lots going into the second week 😀 I like their banter and the teasing, this time around it seems they’ll get some time to truly get to know each other. He’s not the same and yet he is. I’m usually quite against characters getting rewritten like that, but it works in this case since we didn’t get to invest too much into the “previous version” and also from the beginning their romance was a whirlwind one 😉 I can’t wait to see the OTP bond more!

    Also… 4 episodes a week is so stingy! I need MORE!!! T_________T

They should have aired 8 episodes per week. The drama runs for 14 weeks, that is too long a wait. I guess the TV station has packed the TV broadcast schedule with other dramas, and there are no more open slots to air 4 additional episodes weekly.

I’m also really enjoying where the show is going — heck, I think I like this alternate universe more; things are more complex, and like above commenter we’ll definitely get to know our characters a lot better. The characterization feels pretty consistent also despite the change in universe (how Qingchen froze the universe at the wedding was SO GORGEOUS 😍) Was Ep 8, like on Youku, only 36 minutes long on other platforms? Admittedly the stopping point is a rather effective cliffhanger…before I wait another week…*cries*

While this show could be better in many ways, I’m honestly quite fond of it currently. My only complaint is that 4 eps a week isn’t enough!

I think the TV version has been cut. Probably because it’s airing so late.

On another note, when the show first introduced that sorceress named Biyao (who collapsed and needed water) I was all “whut?” I didn’t even like Chusen, but I just found that quite funny.

LOL. Bi Yao the sorceress…if only she could help herself wake up from a certain slumber and run away with Mao Zi Jun’s character. XD

    我的天啊 😱 I got a shoutout 😎
I’m so glad to hear that you might be uploading this series since it seems to be unavailable in my region on DF. I’m going to wait until about half of it is out before I start watching. I’ve got exams in a few weeks up that finish at the end of August anyways, so I will probably start then. 4 eps a week is so little compared to PA which airs 8, and Ode to Joy (was it 2 everyday?) Although it probably makes your job a bit easier with the uploading :p

From what I’ve read here and on other forums, the reception seems pretty good so far, so I’m excited! Tbh I didn’t really have much expectations for this; whilst I have nothing against WC, his acting has never done much for me, and although I loved loved loved LSS from the BBJX days, none of her following portrayals/works stood out that much to me. I started watching Sound of the Desert for her, but it was Wei Wu Ji that stole my heart 😍

From the trailers, I thought the visuals in the scene where she seems to stop time (?) looked gorgeous. One thing I think most cdramas could improve on is CGI and cinematography…. although I do think it’s gotten better in recent years.

I have to give credits where it’s due! Thanks for the shout-out Brittany, you helped out a lot of fans! =)

I thought LSS froze the universe, but you can see WC’s eyes blinking lol

I think when she released the butterfly, she unfroze him, but didn’t allow for him to make actual bodily movements.

One thing that I quite enjoy is that Qing Chen becomes the pursuer of Yuan Ling once she turns back time. She’s cheeky towards him and isn’t shy in showing her fondness of him which I find refreshing since it makes things fun and adds to the chemistry. It’s usually the male protagonists who are bold in pursuing females but this turn around is good and Yuan Ling responding positively to her is also exciting. Kinda reminds me of Sound of the Desert’s Wei Wu Ji/Xiao Yu relationship.

oh you don’t know what these words did to my heart “Kinda reminds me of Sound of the Desert’s Wei Wu Ji/Xiao Yu relationship.”

i am so looking forward to this drama and reading that make me all kinds of happy. lol

I only started to feel that way in episode 8, which is the latest episode, so I may or may not be right about it but Qing Chen does have some of Xiao Yu’s traits and she’s dealing with a general who is playful and fearless like Wu Ji so the formula shouldn’t go wrong there XD Although I’ll say it right now, Wu Ji is a hard act to top!

It’s great news that Dramafever is picking up this project. Uhh the cliffhanger at the end of ep 8! I can’t wait till next Thursday for this. Since the subs for the first episode were auto translated by google, I decided to subtitle the first episode in the English (UK) subtitle option and it’s taking a while for it to be reviewed. So if anyone knows Chinese, it would be gladly appreciated if you could help review it so people can see the subs sooner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5mh45Yht8Q&lc=z125z1jjgsrodxj0322ssvoxfy3fxdy22.1500769235622357

I love the dark color scheme. So many dramas nowadays are so bright that my eyes hurt.

  12. 21 thoughts on “Lost Love In Times Discussion Post Week 2: Episodes 5 – 8

Does anyone know when the last air date will be?

  13. 21 thoughts on “Lost Love In Times Discussion Post Week 2: Episodes 5 – 8

I haven’t watched any of this drama. Where’s the LSS pic with the Tinky Winky hair that Nell mentioned in Binge post #11?

WC’s hair piece above is so tall.

@SJElf, 4 eps a week. Eps 9-12 this week. 56 eps total. This will take a while. It should finish late Sep. September twenty-something.

What do you think?
