We only have a dozen episodes left to Oh My General, has anyone been keeping up? I know it was one my anticipated dramas but I still haven’t gotten the time or the will to sit down and watch. Maybe I’ll try to catch up after it finishes airing.

I think Oh My General misses the mark. It tries really hard – I can tell – but the story is a bit cringey and OTT. It tries to be the successor to Princess Go Go, but the story itself is lacking. Sandra Ma is good though; it’s Peter Sheng who was a miscast. No matter how he tries, he just doesn’t look like a pretty boy and thus, part of the story is already ruined from the start.

I think Yang YANG would make a pretty boy. I don’t get this kind of humour on this drama.

Yeah the humor is a bit dry in here too. Definitely not funny enough to make it a hit show

Sandra Ma is good in here! She plays the female general really well. And, I just LOVE the outfits that they put her in. It really matches her. Also, I can see how they tried to make this similar to Go Princess Go, but I’m not digging it. But I think it’s cute and funny that Peter Sheng plays a role that is the total opposite of what he’s used to playing, which is good for him. My only wish is that I wish there were English subs, as I can only get so far by watching it raw…. T_T

This dish has elements of a dynamic dish. The concept is new, fun and sounds delicious. Cast is not bad. I do like Peter and Sandra. They have good acting chemistry but I don’t feel lovers chemistry.
This dish lacks a number of herbs and spices. The main ingredients are all there but it lacks a good Chef to flavour the dish to prefection. Worth a taste but no hurry to make booking for this weekend.

I agreed with most of the points above. Although not the most fitting face for the part, Peter Sheng creates a loveable character. Sandra Ma is amazing as the general, I’m looking forward to seeing her acting in other roles.
I think the editing, and occasionally the cinematography work, fails the series. Some characters are very interesting but we don’t get the opportunity to get to know them better.
Entertaining but flawed.
