I’m sure I read that this story is about the business industry (boring!) but the first teaser makes it quite exciting with Jin Han literally sweeping Zhao Li Ying off her feet and stealing hugs and one kiss (so far). There are also quite a few cameos from other celebrities. Can you catch them all? Lol. Our Glamorous Time (你和我的倾城时光) is adapted from Ding Mo‘s novel and our male lead returns home from the military to help his family from bankruptcy and is involved in a guaranteed sweet love story with our strong yet feminine female lead.

The book so far is actually pretty good too! The translation isn’t very far along so I haven’t gotten very far in the book. But the reviews on shushengbar are very good. It’s in the business world but the main character (male) is from special forces (?) coming back to save his family business. So you navigates the business world very differently and uses like “guerrilla tactics” from military strategies and stuff. And the girl’s supposed to be smart too and helps the male lead intellectually as well.

Also I here there’s a lot of fans of the novels who specifically LOVE the older brother! He’s supposed to be super cool and has his own (kind of depressing, I hear) love story in a separate book.

I loved the big bro in OGT not so much in his own story. My impression is that author penned his story for the sake of satisfying her fans. The writing and plot was poor imo.

Eh. Teaser pretty much adds to my disappointment in seeing Jin Han as the male lead. Just not my cup of tea for Li Zhicheng.

Loving ZLY’s styling in the trailer and i’m so glad to hear this is “only” 30 episodes. Jin Han looks so much better looking in modern clothing. Something about his looks makes him appear very sinister in period clothing and so he’s typecast as a bad guy.

I also think he is very handsome with the modern hairstyle too! While I find ZLY better in ancient clothing than modern. The storyline does not sound interesting, I won’t be watching this unless it gets super good reviews.
