The story: Yin Xiamo and Luo Xi are orphans, both having met each other at their adoptive parents’ home. Because of the shadows remaining from their childhood, they are both shrouded in the midst of wariness. However, when Xia Mo and her brother meet an embarrassing situation during a singing competition, Luo Xi helps them out, and the iciness that separates both of them gradually melts. Seeing what has happened, as well as in an attempt to break both of them up, Ou Chen, who deeply loves Xia Mo and is the heir to the company that founded their school, sends Luo Xi to England to study…
Five years later, Luo Xi has become a superstar, with a countless number of fans to his name. Xia Mo having become an orphan once again as her adoptive parents died the year Luo Xi left, is a new artist of a records company and meets Luo Xi. Ou Chen on the other hand, having lost his memory of Xia Mo five years ago due to a car accident, also sees Xia Mo once again as well. With all three main characters back on the scene and their disputes of love and hate, what will happen between them then? Who will Xia Mo pick in the end? [Credit: Wiki]
Why so glum, chum? Qin Jun Jie.
There it is… the green hair tie of death on her pretty hair.
Huang Sheng Chi as Luo Xi.
Directed by Chen Yu Shan (Our Times, Lady and the Liar) and written by Ming Xiao Xi, Li Tian, and Jia Bin Bin, Summer’s Desire plans to have 40 episodes.

I hated the story overall and also hated the drama (the one with Peter, Barbie, and Huang Xiao Ming). Despite loving Qin Jun Jie (lol hotness + skills — would watch for him if the whole story wasn’t so shit) and Zhang Xue Ying (I love her, I really do but…not enough), I wouldn’t touch this with a ten mile pole unless netizens give this a all-around raving review of 10/10 or something.

GAH. How many remakes does this story require? The leads look super cute though. I hope it’s at least less like the original and more like the recent movie (which was a lot more sane, when the writer cut the crap to fit a movie’s runtime).

I have a love hate relationship with this story. It’s like an entire seasons worth f Tbe Bold and The Beautiful all rolled into one. I like a dose of melodrama but this was so full of it I felt inclined to roll my eyes more than once. And I actually did like the Peter, Barbie and Huang Xiao Ming version, if only they were younger. I did not actually like the movie version because it lost all its dramatic feels.
