15-minute trailer of Da Mo Yao with Liu Shi Shi & Eddie Peng

Not sure whether the English title is Legend of the Moon and Star or The Sound of Desert. I like the second one more as it speaks of the heroine’s background. But dang… Eddie Peng suggestively sliding his hand down Liu Shi Shi‘s foot was pretty sexual for that time period, is it not?! He may just prove the naysayers wrong about his casting. His character is adorable and hot as heck from what I see. Hu Ge, on the other hand, comes off very tired.

The response just told me this might not be my project. Hopefully, people aren’t still anti- Eddie Peng. He’s adorable!

Oh.Em.Gee~ Did Eddie’s character die? Oh noesss. Hmm, LSS acts two-dimensional in here. Same expressions every drama. Nothing new.

Ay, the trailer lost me when the noble idiot asked his admirer if she wants a family with kids. Why is the trailer’s ending similar to BBJX somehow? No chemistry sparked for me. Oh well. I will be searching for highlights on YT.

I feel the same way with LSS in her modeling works and acting gigs. There seems to be a wall that stops her from connecting with the character and delivering the emotions to me. She cries beautifully but something is missing in the whole scheme of things. *scratches head*

I didn’t read the book so I have no idea who will die….. X(

No one dies in the book except through old age if I remember my reading correctly, but I’m not going to give any more away ^u^

I wasn’t anti-Eddie Peng for this project at all (I adore the man to bits), it was actually the other 2 that I wasn’t happy about. Liu Shi Shi I could never get behind because even though she acts as different characters, her acting is always the same to me, so it’s more like whether the character fits her acting, rather than the other way round, and so it’s always a bit of a hit and miss for me. Also, she seems to have trouble emoting. I don’t know how to say it, but you always know that it is LSS acting as a character, the same way you’re always more aware that it’s Arnold Schwarznaeger acting in a role rather than a character being portrayed. As for Hu Ge, it doesn’t suit him to play a sickly bishounen, and I’m frankly tired of us being teased with him and LSS and them never ending up happily. So yeah.

Keane, if you ever do get highlights on YT, please link me, that’ll be a good solution to my dilemma ^u^

no wonder why hu ge looks so sickly in the trailer, he plays an ill character! but really, he ought to let the younger guys take on more prominent roles. he’s not exactly in his prime anymore! the age is visible and i will never understand the sparks people talk about btw hu ge and LSS. they are like siblings, even while holding hands.

LOL, eddie peng’s backlash when he was announced to take the lead was like spitfire in another site. i won’t name it but since i don’t go there anymore, it’s fine. give the boy a chance and stop bashing him!

me too, feel the same about LSS. she’s too aware of herself to connect and bring the character to life. i swear she’s the proper type of girl – which is exactly the wall that blocks her from coming out of her shell. until she forgets she’s LSS, her acting won’t improve.
