Whispers of Fate takes Luo Yun Xi’s beauty to the next level, alongside Lin Yun, Chen Yao, and Xiao Shun Yao

Whispers of Fate (水龙吟) is adapted from the novel written by Teng Ping.

Synopsis per Viki: When an influential but fearsome clan is massacred in mysterious circumstances, the clan’s talented disciple Tang Li Ci (Luo Yun Xi) finds himself accused of masterminding the crime. Accusers say that Li Ci is a traitor who murdered his master. A decade later, suspicions about Li Ci linger, but much darker forces are conspiring to unleash chaos into the realm. Torn by his duality and his apparent inability to distinguish between good and evil, Li Ci finds himself drawn back into the wider world to help defeat the evil conspiracy – armed only with his wits and his martial arts skills. His path soon crosses with former acquaintances, with some swearing enmity and others allied to his cause. Can he and his companions help defeat the forces of wickedness – or will his dual nature prove his undoing?

You can read the translated novel here @ RBF Translates (In progress, as the original novel is NOT completed! Abandoned for over a decade, it has only been recently resumed by the author, lol.)

Whispers of Fate with Luo Yun Xi, Xiao Shun Yao, and Lin Yun drops new promotional materials

Whispers of Fate (水龙吟) is adapted from the novel written by Teng Ping. It has your usual flair of wuxia dramas; good vs evil, with a male lead described as neither evil nor good; morally ambiguous. He gets entangled in a murder which is part of a larger conspiracy to bring down the wuxia world.

This is a the drama where the male lead gets all the beauty treatments – overwhelming both of his female counterparts. Lol.

Costume drama Pull Strings with Ao Rui Peng and Sun Zhen Ni wrapped up filming

Pull Strings (师兄太稳健) is adapted from the novel written by Yan Gui Zheng Zhuan. You can read the novel here.

The story follows our male lead who was reborn into the ancient times and tries his best to live as long as possible as a cultivator. He doesn’t want to get entangled and hence always thinks twice about everything, which of course leads him into humorous troublesome situations. A male lead who always has backup plans of plans. Lol. His peaceful life is disrupted when his master accepts a junior sister! Sounds like a mine for comedy.

Dou Luo Continent (Soul Land) with Xiao Zhan and Wu Xuan Yi begins airing today ~

It was rumored, but never confirmed, and here it is. Lol.

Let me copy and paste what I wrote last year: Dou Luo Continent is an adaptation of the Chinese web novel of the same name written by Tang Jia San Shao. Our hero is Tang San, considered a prodigy in the Tang Sect, a sect specializing in poisons and weapons. He commits suicide after entering the forbidden place for inner sect disciples and gaining the knowledge of the Sect. He feels guilty and kills himself, but is reborn in Soul Land (title of the novel), with his memories intact (dun, dun, dun). In the new land, he is raised by an alcoholic father and remains tenacious in mastering new skills. In Soul Land, each individual possesses an innate spirit, which one can cultivate and strengthen, becoming a Spirit Master, a well-regarded profession. Our hero has two.

Airing 2/5 ~

How do you guys like it so far?
