Cang Lan Jue (苍兰诀) aka The Parting of the Orchid and Cang/Demon King is an adaptation of the novel written by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang (The Legends). Dylan Wang He Di wishes Yu Shu Xin happy birthday 12/18 and on the cake were their cartoon characters and drama name. After he was defeated thousands of years ago, our Demon King was put in coma (since he can’t die), a curse placed and his body stored at Hao Tian tower. It follows the romance of the ancient Demon King resurrected thanks to a powerless, immortal Little Orchid. The beginning sounds quite humorous with them inhabiting each other’s body (and eventually sharing the same body when hers is destroyed), causing the demon clan to be stupefied by their Lord’s behavior from time to time. Our trusting Little Orchid slowly defrosts the cold, arrogant, powerful Demon King.

I haven’t seen the two leads in anything so ~

I think this is one of the rare times when the casting for live action adap tations is done right. I’ve pictured the Demon King with thick black eyebrows and it’s funny how Dylan fits the bill, not to mention he looks great with silver hair 😂😂

I agree the casting is fine. Haven’t actually watched Dylan in a proper drama only snippets but saw YSX and she is rather cute and should probably carry little orchid just fine. Just not sure if the body cohabitation part is retained because that would probably be most challenging in terms of acting. It is one of my favourite JLFX books so I am happy it gets an adaptation.

You are not alone. It’s not just the voice, her whole person is over the top aegyo personified. I tried to watch her drama and lasted 15 minutes. Maybe she will tone it done. Hopefully.

OMGOSH!! thank-you!! It’s like watching an OTT Korean idol doing aegyo non-stop. lol
People say she’s 4D but honestly I don’t see her as weird, just trying to hard to come across as cute. I saw her first in that youth idol show and her first appearance was so grating to my ears.

Well esther has that kind of 4d personality some ppl dislike, while others like or love her. Saw her last drama and she was ok. Saw dylan’s styling and he looks great. The storyline is interesting and if theres chemistry, really could turn out good.
