Miss Truth (大唐女法医), adapted from the novel written by Xiu Tang and features rookie actress Zhou Jie Qiong, professionally known as Kyulkyung; she is a Chinese singer based in South Korea, currently in the girl group Pristin V. Miss Truth is her solo debut in China as an actress. She reminds me a bit of both Barbie Hsu and Li Yi Tong. Her male lead is Toby Li Cheng Bin (Never Gone). In the novel, our female lead became a forensic scientist in order to find out the mystery around her mother’s death. In a chance encounter, she time-travels to the Tang Dynasty. The drama removes the time-travels bit but she still studies autopsy, helping the male lead solve many homicidal cases, leading to the discovery of an assassin organization.
