The Brightest Star in the Sky (夜空中最闪亮的星) is an upcoming modern drama about the entertainment industry, led by Huang Zi Tao and Janice Wu Qian. It’s essentially a love story between the assistant and the star, how they grow to understand and guide each other toward their dream. Tao plays an arrogant, unruly idol singer who’s hard to manage and Janice plays his assistant, and it’s her mission to transform his unmanageable personality, correcting his shortcomings and making him a true star. Janice can’t escape the EXO boys, for real! Lol. Tao will also be writing the songs featured in the drama, double working as an actor and song-writer.

I’m eager to watch this drama, the musical genre is fresh for China no? Huang Zitao is a great actor already, he’s a natural, he was very good in Game Changer and Edge of Innocence, surprised a lot of people and received great critics, I also love his music, he’s talented, the music is going to be awesome.
I also like Niu Junfeng since Love O2O.
Can’t wait for this dram to air.

This is so cliche lol. I hate idol dramas like this, they’re always so cringey. I can’t see this doing well at all.

Wu Qian is pretty funny with her assistant on Instagram lol. Will watch for her and Niu Junfeng!
For some reason I feel like Tao is one of the better actors out of the other EXO guys in China but don’t think I’ve seen any of his movies/dramas o_O
