It’s been a long time since I squee this hard over the stills of a movie alone. SO MUCH CUTENESS abounds in this upcoming Taiwanese youth movie, Our Times, starring a wagon of fresh faces in a story we are well acquainted with in recent cinema trend – the highs and lows of emotional upheavals during those teenage years (here it is the 1990s), enhanced by prickly hormones and physical body changes. HA. At this point, Jerry Yan, Chen Qiao En, and Andy Lau‘s cameos are just icing on the top because the real stars are the sprouting seeds ready to blossom!
Stills:
Our adorkable female lead played by actress Vivian Sung Yun Hua. She was in movie Cafe Waiting Love but I did not watch that so no comments. But based on the trailer and music video alone, she’s winning hearts already. Her character harbors a crush on the school’s Prince and with the help of our male lead, they try to win the heart of their crushes, just to slowly realize that maybe…just maybe, they care more for each other than they care to admit.
Our male lead is Darren Wang and for some reason, his wardrobe and THAT HAIR gives me Japanese delinquent vibes all over. Ha. My head is filled with memories watching Yukie Nakama’s Gokusen series. He fits right in! He looks like the gangster version of Bolin Chen. XD
That face and his bat wings! LOL.
The school’s crush of the year – Mister Ou Yang, played by Taiwanese singer Dino Lee. I don’t listen to C-Pop that much so I don’t recognize him. Known for being the son of famous singer and music producer, Lee Ya Ming, Dino left Taiwan and studied music in LA. He debuted last year in the single “Everything Changes” with label-mates Bii, Chen Si An and Ian Chen.
Boys together without their drama hair. hehe!
And as always, we have the school’s goddess, Tao Min Min, portrayed by Dewi Chien.
The Love Rectangle!
This part is so cute, he pushes her into view so she can give the ice cream to her crush!!
Posters and group photos.
Cameos. Jerry Yan as the adult male lead, Chen Qian En as the adult female lead. And Andy Lau as the heroine’s idol. Aw.

I know right? They look so cute and I think this type of story can go further and touch deeper/sensitive topics in a teenager’s life with such a charming cast! This is the time to milk the cow! XD
