Bye bye to the 5-year promise between Hu Ge and Wallace Huo because the former starts the new year with a new love interest. ♥♥♥ They were caught by super spy paps after Hu Ge was done filming for Hunting Ground and entered a hotel, after which his manager escorted a girl from the airport straight to the said room. This morning, he updated his weibo (which I think is implied confirmation), “Thank-you everyone for your concern but in the days to come, I hope everyone can give me personal space, because after filming, I still have to return to my normal and simple life.”
The girl (not a celebrity so I won’t drop her name) is revealed to be dancer at Beijing Dance Academy (where Liu Shi Shi was trained for her ballet.) Poor girl, her weibo has been completely erased and locked. Sigh. People finding someone to love is a precious happening, leave the poor kitties alone!

HG’s only 33 so he’s pretty young. The whole schtick with Wallace was just a publicity stunt anyway. He and Wallace have neon signs blaring “STRAIGHT” off the top of their heads. The girl is also loaded so it’s not like she’s mooching off him or anything. HG’s confirmed they’re dating.

I think many fans were waiting for him to get back with his ex-girlfriend Xue Jianing. She was the right girl for him but at the wrong time. Hopefully this new girlfriend Lin Xiao is the right girl at the right timing for him.

Lol I’ve loved Hu Ge for so long, but I actually barely know anything about his personal life. I’m never aware of his romantic life. Lol Talk about the “responsibilities” of a hard core fan — I’ve failed all of them.
Anyways, point being, I have like, no opinion on his girlfriend. He’s totally right, fans and the press need to back off. You’re obsessed with and in love with Hu Ge, the awesome person and actor, not his love life. It’s not like you guys own him or anything; sorry, I absolutely DETEST nosy people who think they’re entitled to information and other people’s personal info. DETEST. No exaggerating. It’s like the biggest pet peeve of mine. some people find nagging and asking and prying to be cute or amusing; I just think it’s fucking annoying and despicable. Seriously. If you’re that interested, just wait a few weeks, schedule an interview, ask Hu Ge himself, and if he wants to answer, he will. How did they even get the pics of her going straight to his room? Stalker much? You know what kind of hotel would make crazy business? A hotel that specialized in protecting customer privacy and stuff.
Also he’s been my 男神 for so long, that to me he’s a total veteran actor. In fact, I’ve never thought of him as an idol actor — ever. So it’s always like a mini surprise that despite his veteran-status in my mind, he’s actually only 33. Like, I always forget some of his most well-known works were done while he was still in/fresh-out-of college. (Wait didn’t he like not officially graduate from Shanghai Drama Academy or something because of work? Or am I hallucinating and making things up?)
He’s got like over a solid decade of consistent, solid acting, but he’s only in his early 30s, not even mid-30s yet. Kudos, my hero!

I tend to absorb entertainment gossip involuntarily like a sponge so I do have some info on his romantic life. Xue Jianing was the only publicly admitted girlfriend. He also apparently fell in love with Ariel Lin. Tang Yan spilled the beans on him on Happy Camp and he did not deny it. Of course there’s Yang Mi and that whole debacle. His last known gf is Maggie Jiang, which was a classic example of a 見光死 relationship. He posted about it on weibo when he was drunk, which probably wasn’t the smartest idea, and things kind of went awkwardly from thereon.
Recently he did bring up Xue Jianing on the talk show A Date with Luyu. He seemed visibly affected at the mention of her name, but he did say she is a good woman.
Maybe I’m just jaded but it no longer surprises me what the paparazzi will do to get the juicy news that they want. Them getting pictures of her going to his room is not the most extreme that I’ve seen from the paps. I’d say they really let Hu Ge and gf off the hook easily this time. Nope, it’s not even the lowest of the lows. I’m pretty sure that Hu Ge being a veteran actor knows that this is the price to pay when you’re this famous. This is how the entertainment biz works.

Other than jianing and Maggie, Ive never understood the claim of Hu ge and yang mi dating… There was no evidence of them dating, the rumours claim make no sense nor have they confirmed so I don’t understand the whole yang mi is Hu ge ex thing…. Is it just me??? Someone enlighten me here… Also gotta say the paparazzi are annoyinging… Love Hu ge though…

They have not admitted to it, but I guess it’s a known “secret” within the circle. As far as I know each time their relationship is brought up, neither one of them denied nor admitted to it.
Personally it doesn’t matter now. Yang Mi is happily married with a daughter and Hu Ge has found his new love.

Hu Ge and Yang Mi secretly dated for a while but it ended very messily. Hu Ge’s boss and Yang Mi had a big feud cuz HG’s boss had an extramarital affair that the paps found out and HG’s boss blamed Yang Mi among a whole lot of other things … I’m not a Yang Mi fangirl but the whole debacle wasn’t Yang Mi’s fault – more like HG’s boss pissed off too many people in the circle so the reporters had a field day.
Yumama (he and HG’s boss hate each other) rejoiced and got Yang Mi to come over to make dramas with him (Beauty’s Rival in Palace with Ruby Lin, then as the main character in the Palace series with Feng Shaofeng).
Anyway, Hu Ge and Yang Mi’s secret relationship ended with Hu Ge blacklisting Yang Mi from all his future collaborations – they never worked together again after Chinese Paladin 3 (which was around the time when all this was happening).
Tang Yan left Tangren later as well so Liu Shishi became the top lady of Tangren (along with Hu Ge who is the top man of Tangren). Yang Mi, Tang Yan, and Liu Shishi used to be very good friends but because Liu Shishi sided with the boss, Yang Mi and Tang Yan are still best friends but they don’t talk to LSS much anymore.

I like Hu Ge as an actor but I have no comment on his personal / love life cuz his love life is just messy. He’s known for having a string of girlfriends and the relationships usually don’t end well – his ex girlfriends usually get dragged over the mud with the paps (cuz HG’s boss buys off paps to write stuff in Tangren’s favor) and usually HG just pretends nothing happened. HG’s boss always likes to go on smear campaigns against actors/actresses who don’t get along with her (or those who leave her evil clutches).

Besides Maggie Jiang and xue jianing he did dated, who else are we talking about here, unless we counting those rumors one with of half his co stars… Which I don’t count… Lol and Wallace not count either lol kidding…but yes still very happy for Hu ge. He needs a women… Imagine if Those gay rumors of HuHuo was true it would have been such a huge loss for all the women because those two guys are gorgeous…
