Just when I think I couldn’t drop another tear, this episode proved me wrong. Wrong!! X(
The three leads’ lives are now woven together, tighter and more painfully than before. How will the writers end this heart-breaking drama in the end?

– Everyone in the village attends father Daesung’s funeral, while Eun Jo tries desperately to keep herself busy from thinking about it. Jung Woo finds her in the office and demands, “Nuna, what are you doing? Come to your senses!” I like how Jung Woo is given a more prominent role in this episode. Instead of following her around, he takes charge to bring Eun Jo’s mind and body together.

– Likewise, in another room, Hyo Sun tries to believe the fact that her father is dead by drinking. Ki Hoon stands outside the door, looking in. He enters the room and takes away her drink.

Hyo Sun: “You won’t let me lean on you! And now you’re taking my wine away? I want you to get lost! GET LOST!…I want you to get lost, Eun Jo too.”

When Hyo Sun blames Eun Jo for her father’s death. Ki Hoon pleads guiltily in his head, “It’s not Eun Jo, it’s me. I did this.

– Back at Eun Jo, she finally reaches the front door, however, she slowly turns around saying that she has to go to the factory and then the lab. Jung Woo insists that she comes to her senses and do what she is supposed to do. The truth dawns on her as Jung Woo states, “funeral”. She repeats, “Funeral?….the President of Daesung’s factory, his funeral…” I liked it when Jung Woo gently caresses her hair.

– Ki Hoon barges into his older brother Ki Jung’s office. The most important thing he says is:

Ki Hoon: “Daesung’s factory will never die. Give it up. Don’t you dare do a thing to Daesung’s factory. If you do, I won’t let it slide.”

Ki Jung: “If you won’t sit back, what are you going to do?”

Ki Hoon: “I will bring you down…and we’ll die together.”

– Little Junsu runs to Hyo Sun’s room and asks her to play with him. She refuses to but after he says, “Appa always plays with me, when he is coming home?” she pulls him in for a hug and agrees. Outside they bump into Eun Jo.

Junsu is busy throwing stones as Hyo Sun approaches Eun Jo.

Hyo Sun: “I’m curious about something. I thought you honestly liked my dad, but you weren’t crying. Even the grandma and the factory workers cried, there wasn’t a single person who didn’t. How could you be like that?”

Eun Jo: “What are you curious about?”

Hyo Sun: “You…were you really not sincere about my father?”

Eun Jo: “Do you think I’m going to answer you?”

Hyo Sun: “Tell me, did you ever have a speck of sincerity towards father?!” Eun Jo turns to look at Hyo Sun. “What? What are you looking at?”

Eun Jo: “What is sincerity? Sincerity, what does it mean?”

Hyo Sun: “Our father passing away, was that nothing to you? Can you honestly say that? How can it be nothing? If you weren’t here, none of this would’ve happened!!”

Eun Jo: “So…?”

Hyo Sun is shocked at her sister’s calm expression. “What?”

Eun Jo appears unstable. “So? What do you expect me to do? Now that I think about it, you’re saying that father passed away because of me. What should I do?”

Hyo Sun repeats, “What should you do? If I say do something, what could you do? Then make father come back! I miss him to death, bring back my father!!”

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
– Hyo Sun breaks down in sobs on Eun Jo’s knees saying “I’m scared Unnie. I’m scared to death. I feel like I’m standing outside with no clothes on. I’m cold and scared. Unnie….”

Eun Jo looks down at her sister as she slowly reaches out and gently strokes her hair. “Don’t cry, Hyo Sun,” she whispers. Reaching down, she holds Hyo Sun closer and places a hand of comfort on her shoulder.

It is a beautiful scene isn’t it? However, the writers like illusions! I HATE, DESPISE THIS SCENE!! It’s so painful for both characters. One is lonely, while the other is emotionally trapped. One wants comfort, while the other is unable to show affection. How much more can these two pitiful sisters take writers? (and Ki Hoon!)

– At the factory, Eun Jo demands the workers to start working. She’s frustrated at them and as her temperature rises, a hand lands on her shoulder to calm her down. The familiar feeling reminds her of father Daesung’s touch, but when she turns around, she faces Ki Hoon. Oh….skinskip? Symbolism?

The last scene is tear-jerking: Enough said!
