Qian Qiu Ling (千秋令) continues the never-ending battle between good and evil. After thousands of years of fighting, the next generation of the two worlds happen to become friends. But during an incident, our hero pushes our heroine off of a cliff to save his Righteous Master, giving the Demon Cult a chance to save and cultivate our heroine to become the next Leader of the Demon cult. 10 years later, they meet again. She uses his past guilt to stay beside him, while trying to kill him secretly. However, his warmth and kindness move her and she slowly falls for him. When she decides to give up the plan for revenge, another hand plants many misunderstandings between the two and forces them to fight. After going through many rounds of hardships and fighting, the two recognize their true hearts and that no matter where their stance was/is, certain things do not change: justice and the love in your heart.
The trailer looks so cute, it’s not overly dramatic and the leads don’t act like they are stuck as teenagers. The Evolution of Our Love (爱情进化论) stars Zhang Tian Ai, Zhang Ruo Yun, and Xu Wei Zhou in a roller coaster ride of finding life-long love. They were friends in high school and that friendship goes on for the next 15 years+. He carries a torch for her and watches as she dates man after man, ultimately remaining unlucky in the field of love. Will his gentle soul and observant eyes turn her attention towards the person who’s been by her side all these years?
Everyone looks good, from main to supporting! YAY! If I could describe the plot in short terms, it would be In Time With You 2.0 because here our leads have been friends for 15 years, from their hormonal youth into adulthood. They support each other throughout the years and finally recognize that the best kind of love is the kind that grows along with you. Zhang Tian Ai is the go-getter at work but is unlucky with men (with that face?!) and Zhang Ruo Yun‘s the gentle soul with homely manners. Awww, their dynamics is gonna be uber sweet.
After “Princess Agents”, I was in serious need of some fluffy, light-hearted content. Thankfully I’d just happened to see a trailer for “Let’s Shake It, ET”《颤抖吧！阿部》and because it reminded me a lot of “Go, Princess, Go” and was different from any of the C-dramas I’d watched before, I wanted to check it out. While it may not be getting as much attention as “The King’s Woman” or “Xuan Yuan Sword: Han Cloud”, this is my favorite show right now. I know most people are waiting for it to be subtitled before watching so I wanted to give an overview of the series and what happened in the first few episodes as it’s a comedy well worth watching.
Adapted from the novel written by Feng Diu Zi, Let’s Shake It ET (颤抖吧，阿部!) is an upcoming webdrama set in the Tang dynasty featuring Hua Qian Gu’s daughter and son (hehe): An Yue Xi (Taekwondo Girl 2) and Zheng Ye Cheng (Bu Liang Ren) in a quirky fantasy romance.
