Sorry, this post is a bit delayed, a little incidence happened and my presence was needed elsewhere after work. In any case, our girl turns the big 30 today! I’m sure she’s feeling the pressure from friends and families to find the special person and settle down but I do want her to know that she should go at her own pace. Some folks hurry into commitments and not take the time to explore and find happiness within themselves. You gotta love yourself first, before loving and allowing love to come into your life!

I swear Yu Zheng must have a secret dungeon under Hengdian studio or something, where he secretly trains new faces and film dramas in the dark. This is another one of his productions! The English title could be translated to Not Easy to Be King or Da Wang Bu Rong Yi (大王不容易). Our heroine is an aspiring gluttonous chef, who loves pretty boys (HAHA) while our hero is an arrogant King with far-reaching ambitions for more power. Our second male lead is a royal guard for the king, who is desired by our female lead. OMGAH. The hijinks when the chef and the king swap role during a freak accident!
Qin Lan, Charmaine Sheh, and Wu Jin Yan for Yu Zheng’s Qing drama, Yan Xi’s Conquest
Lol. I’m dying at the implication of this whole Qing drama. With Zhou Xun and Wallace Huo‘s palace drama, Ru Yi, set to draw in viewers, Yu Zheng can’t sit still and let the opportunity pass by his head. He’s producing his own Qing drama, tentatively called Yan Xi’s Conquest (延禧攻略) and inviting some big stars (Qin Lan, Charmaine Sheh, and Nie Yuan) to lay foundation while having his own actress Wu Jin Yan (Zhao Ge) in the leading role. If you have watched Princess Pearls (Huan Zhu Ge Ge), you would recognize the three female characters. HA!
Untouchable Lovers wraps up filming with some powdered faces and dancing
Aww so cute. Sometimes, we forget how young these cast members are. Our leads – Guan Xiao Tong is 19 going to 20, and Song Wei Long is 18 going to 19. Let them enjoy their youth and the crazy exhilarating feelings of being young and in the spotlight! Untouchable Lovers is the drama adaptation of the novel Feng Qiu Huang, but unfortunately, the story has been butchered in the hands of Yu Zheng, as always. Filming has wrapped today and the cast and crew enjoy a fight on set. 🙂
