Time to say good bye to a train without plot (no wonder why there was no living person riding it!! LOL, sorry, I’m snarky) but a fascinating background. Sigh. So much potential, Show!

A lot of things happen in these episodes, yet nothing… really happens? So many meetings, so many conversations, yet I feel like there is zero progress story-wise. Instead we climb back into the gloomy mine. Even our OTP is just rehashing their conflict.

The fiercely loyal and devoted wife of Er Ye finally succumbs to her illness, leaving a wake of destruction and despair in her death. In this lifetime, she bids farewell to her husband but makes sure he doesn’t try to follow her. Meanwhile, our OTP ship is all set to sail.

Xin Yue may not be Qi Shan’s idea of a perfect bride but the whole world seem to agree they make a pretty pair. Thanks to our fearless heroine breaking down walls and ruffling feathers, we get to see a more human side of Qi Shan. With her, he is a lot of emotions: intrigued, confused, bewildered, annoyed — sometimes all at once.

The stubborn, young rich miss finally joins the party and already she knows what she wants. She is bright and chirpy, everything that Qi Shan is not and I can’t wait for them to finally interact. She’s a girl with a crush and mission and you just know there’s no way something as measly as a forged identity will get in her way of getting her man.

The villains are introduced, evil plans are put into motion, and we scratch the surface of the grand mystery the show is setting up at the expense of the pacing. I keep on asking myself, “Are we there yet?”

*___* Not looking forward to my 16-hour shift at work! Social life? What’s that? xD

I uploaded a few more character previews of the other characters. One character in particular stood out from the rest. He might just be the scene stealer of the tomb-raiding community and Lay should be worried!
