Huang Xuan, Wang Yi Bo, and Song Qian confirmed for Feng Qi Luo Yang

Feng Qi Luo Yang or The Wind Rises Luo Yang (风起洛阳) is adapted from the novel written by Ma Bo Yong, who was also the author behind The Longest Day in Chang’an and Mystery of Antiques. It’s a period detective drama set in the Tang Dynasty during Wu Ze Tian’s reign, in the ancient capital Luo Yang. After restoring the sky palace in Luo Yang is done, Empress Wu prepares for the annual ceremony of wishing for a good harvest season. She is then informed that an informant who had important information to give her, was assassinated during his journey. Angry about the sudden death, she orders the murder mystery solved and the case is picked up by Deputy Marshal (Huang Xuan) and palace guard (Song Qian). Later, Minister’s second son (Wang Yi Bo) joins the duo as he tries to find out the truth behind his father’s poisoning/death. Following the trail of hints, the dangers in Luo Yang have been planted for quite a while…

First Stills for Being A Hero with Chen Xiao and Wang Yi Bo

Well, one thing is for sure. This drama is not stingy with stills! Lol.

Being A Hero (冰雨火) is a modern police drama about fighting against narcotics starring dual male leads Chen Xiao and Wang Yi Bo, who each has a love interest in Zhao Zhao Yi and Guo Xiao Ting. Three years ago, police officer Wu Gang was killed by a drug organization known as K. His son, Wu Zhen Feng (played by Chen Xiao) is expelled from the police force for violating the rules. Embarrassed, he tries to run away but is chased by his good friend Chen Yu (Wang Yi Bo). Along the way, they are attacked and in saving Chen Yu, Zhen Feng is taken away by the drug traffickers. From then on, the two young men are separated and each has to continue on their own path. Three years later, Chen Yu is now a recognized youngest policeman in the narcotics department while Zhen Feng resurfaces as a murder suspect and is related to a famed drug gang. Chen Yu doffs his police uniform to infiltrate the drug gang and learns that his friend is a lonely hero. The two reunite on the same side and work together to break apart the infamous drug gang.

The stills are so dark and rich, like chocolates! What a handsome cast ensemble!

That’s the thing about getting popular. Your dramas get to to see the small screen! Wang Yi Bo’s webdrama My Strange Friend (我的奇怪朋友) wrapped up filming two years ago and was just sitting pretty in the shelf. It follows a group of young adults who are given super powers and how they use their powers to help other people. English-subbed trailer after the jump.

YESH! It’s confirmed! And I love how our male leads look in here! So pumped for this! I haven’t seen Chen Xiao in forever and the new look is sexy. 😛
