Ma Tian Yu and Han Dong Jun suit up in armor for Secret of the Three Kingdoms

I love it when my hunch is right! The production released a batch of stills of the ladies a few days ago and I was thinking that they would release the new stills of the male real soon. And Tada! Here it is! The men in armor ready for battle! I’m pretty excited for this one because of the cast and the rich, deep costumes, and of course the twist in history! Ma Tian Yu has had a fair share of prominent roles but he doesn’t have a representative work yet and I hope this is it. Make it big puppy!

Ma Tian Yu wraps up filming for Three Kingdoms Secret

After 3 months (it’s been 3 months?!), Ma Tian Yu has wrapped up filming for Tangren’s production, a period drama called Three Kingdoms Secret or better sounding as Secret of The Three Kingdoms (三国机密) adapted from the novel written by Ma Bo Yong, focusing of course on the epic period known as the Three Kingdoms but switching the perspective a little (away from Zhuge Liang), following the ups and downs and imperial changes of the Eastern Han Dynasty on Cao Cao’s side. Ray will be flexing his acting fibers by portraying twins – Liu Xie and Liu Ping. The twins were separated after the queen’s execution, one was raised to become a puppet emperor, while the other one was raised with Sima Yi (played by Elvis Han Dong Jun). OH. Interesting. A juicy role for my man-child!

20th Shanghai International Film Festival 2017

With the drama section (Magnolia Awards) over with, here is the stars strutting it out for their upcoming movies! SO MANY. I’m drowning in pretty pics. The men are wicked awesome tonight. Usually they have on boring, routine stuff, but tonight, they shine more than the ladies, in my humble opinion. XD

Then there’s Weibo Night coming up…. O_O

They drop the first set of characters posters an hour ago. Have a look at the youngins in these heavy roles!

The Starry Night The Starry Sea Second: Ancient Version

Well, if you recently finished the modern version of The Starry Night The Starry Sea (那片星空那片海), a drama adapted from Tong Hua‘s novel about merman, here’s the ancient version to whet your appetite. Looks like they are trying to showcase the leads’ previous love lives… are we going to have three lifetimes here as well?! The main OTP and some cast members will return with the addition of Hong Kong actor, Bosco Wong, with a mask. Mask wearers are so popular recently!

No airing date yet but enjoy the first trailer where everyone looks splendid!

The Starry Night The Starry Sea reveals mermaid Feng Shao Feng

Due to the confusion in the last post, I will say it here that Tong Hua‘s novel, The Starry Night The Starry Sea (那片星空那片海), was published in 2015, way before Lee Min Ho’s Legend of the Blue Sea even started casting in 2016. With that off my chest, mermaid form Feng Shao Feng is scary-looking. LOL. If I see him anywhere in the water, I would stop breathing immediately and not pull him in a kiss like Haden Kuo did in the new trailer. XD It’s also nice to have a fierce-looking merman for once since they almost always look kind and lovely. Second trailer is intense.

Really looking forward to this! Weeeeee! Ending themesong by Zhou Shen is uploaded at the end.
