Recap: May Queen Episode 5

Watching this drama drains my optimism. It’s like a never-ending round trip of rich folks stepping, spitting, and stomping on poor people who could never raise their heads because they chose to live that way. I didn’t recap episode 4 because it’s an annoying filler where 30 minutes were given to wailing, screaming, and endless crying from the parents. There are other ways to bond the leads AND use their stellar acting chops, RIGHT writers? Why are you wasting my time?

Recap: May Queen Episode 3

Poor Chang Hee, life sucks for him. Whenever he’s shown onscreen, I want to cuddle this boy and tell him that everything is going to be fine. *passes him a cookie* The kids are a joy to watch but the adults are a pain because they keep stalling in one place, not making any relative move to propel the plot forward. I feel like this is the pattern for the next 5 episodes, until the adults take over in episode 9.

First Impression: May Queen Episode 1 & 2

Star-studded child cast. That isn’t an overstatement. We have moon girl, killer boy, young Bi Dam, Jin Sae Yun’s child version, and reluctant Maru-oppa.

One thing I’m griping at this drama is the ridiculous amount of characters, children to be specific. Fathers have son, son has sisters, sister has little sister, and little sister has a pregnant mother! Gee! If I messed up some names in here, forgive and inform!
