Shun Oguri and Toma Ikuta reunite for Ouroboros in Jan 2015

I’ll always use this picture for their future collaborations. heehee!!

If you could see my face, it’s a mixture of horror and happiness. I have enough planned projects as it is in Cdramaland and when I scrolled down the list of upcoming Winter Jdramas, I was like Oh Krappppp (at least 3 projects I want to take on.) The two darlings (well, one crazy kid) that we adored so much in Hanazakarino kimitachihe are reuniting in a police drama, Ouroboros ~ Kono Ai Koso, Seigi, airing on January 16th. Before we get to that, the two are invited for a photoshoot themed FRIENDS. Yea, like we dunnnnooo already. 😛

Nobunaga Concerto: Episode 1 “A hero who runs away.”

Firstly, let’s get the obvious aging itch off of our chest. Shun, man. Next time you receive a script that calls for a teen role, hand the script to me. Lol. I’d find an age-appropriate Japanese actor to take the part and spare you the ongoing laughs by your peers (I’m seeing Nino’s tiny fingers pointing.) 😀 Anyway, now that we are done with the complaint, I have to say I enjoyed the premiere episode of Nobunaga Concerto, a drama adaptation of the manga series, “Nobunaga Kontseruto” by Ayumi Ishii. Taiwan’s Dao Ming Si meets Japan’s Hanazawa Rui in Lupin III

 photo cover1.jpg

Sorry for the corny post title, my friends. I just had to do it. Where else could I write such an awesome reference? And I don’t care what anyone says, Dao Ming Si’s hair (above) was awesome, as opposed to his girly hair afterwards. It is actually a 3-way meeting as Korea’s mafia boy Song Woo Bin (actor Kim Joon) is also in the movie. The titular character, Lupin, is portrayed by Oguri Shun, while Jerry Yan plays his enemy, aptly so. Lupin III is adapted from a popular Japanese manga series, where our hero is the world’s most wanted gentleman thief. He and his gang of capable colleagues often collide and foil other criminals’ plans.

Oh boy. I love this already!!

Kap’s Overview of Hanazakari No Kimitachi E (2007)

Troll faces.

If someone were to ask me the magic of this version, I would say the magic lies in the charming supporting cast. That means minus Oguri Shun and Horitaki Maki, everyone else was spot on in their characters no matter how ridiculous and illogical the scripts asked of them. Don’t complain since they warn you about it in the 1st episode. Suspend your beliefs and enjoy the view.
