Movie Date with Kap (25): Pee Mak Phra Khanong 2013
It’s been a long time since I did a Movie Date for my fellow drifters! Keane should be crowned the Queen of Movies around here. So I shall temporarily sit in her seat while she’s away. 😛 I bring you the monstrous breakout Thai movie this spring! Pee Mak Phra Khanong! A remake of the classic ghost story, but this time, we have amusing twists to keep the story fresh. The road to the truth is paved with friendship and love, what’s not to like? Although this movie is labeled as a horror-comedy, trust me that it’s not scary at all. Prepare to be tickled. And maybe drop a few tears.
“I’m sorry. You can’t get to die before me. Please promise me. When I’m gone, you’ll have to carry on.”
Movie Date with Keane (15): Suddenly It’s Magic
Joe Chen Qiao En rocks her new mature image
Is it new? No longer the girl-next-door. That’s for sure.
This woman is looking gorgeous lately, as evident in her latest drama SOP Of Queen. In her recent pictures, she’s seen with layered-long waves. I still remember her tacky outfits and wild-crazy hair with multiple color highlights back in the days of Prince Turns to Frog. *shudders* Now, the side swept bangs matches her face better. She’s not your typical pretty actress in the industry (some might call her plain) but that fact is the reason why I think many fans identify more with her down-to-earth personality. Which also made her characters in Prince Turns to Frog & Fated to love You relatable, topping the ratings game in Taiwan.
Anyway, have some gorgeous photos she has been shooting in the month of August. And some random news of hers thrown into the mix.
Movie Date with Keane (5): Love On That Day

Oke, I have to admit, I’m watching this because of Mario Maurer. Just look at him (the guy with boxing gloves)! Maybe you recognize this German-Chinese hybrid from a few Thai movies/dramas. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if you have a handsome life-size poster of him hanging in your bedroom. *shifts eyes* Who? Not me. { Honest to God. }

Movie Date with Kap (4): The Love of Siam
Happy New Year readers at ACW! I decided to post up this Thai movie now to anchor an attitude towards gay people. Although many people have accepted gay couples, others still don’t. I think it’s a healthy practice for us to be open-minded about one’s sexual orientation. It’s not their choice. Even if you don’t agree with them, don’t be harsh and criticizing. Because at the end of the day, we can’t control whom we love. We can only accept who we are and live life to its fullest potential without any regrets.
Movie Date with Kap (1): Crazy Little Thing Called Love
This emotion brings a natural blush to our cheeks. The rush of adrenaline when that special person walks by us. The heart-stopping moment when he/she looks in our direction. First Crush. First Love. The experience that remains intact despite our growing wrinkles (gotcha!).
