Modern drama Light Chaser Rescue with Luo Yun Xi and Wu Qian to air tomorrow

Aww. This is adorable! Light Chaser Rescue (追光者) reunites two actors, Luo Yun Xi and Wu Qian, who played the younger OTP version in My Sunshine (older played by Wallace Chung and Tang Yan) back in 2015. It will be nice to see how their chemistry transition from innocent, young love, to….uh…not so innocent. LOL. Our male lead plays a lawyer who arrives at Xichuan after it was devastated by an earthquake in search of his younger sister. He meets many rescue workers including an old “rival” in our female lead. He’s impressed with her medical skills and her selfless spirit. Along the way, he also meets with many interesting characters, all of them undergoing the same monstrous training by their rescue team leader, becoming closer and stronger, together.

The Longest Promise (Yu Gu Yao) with Xiao Zhan and Ren Min wraps up filming and releases New Stills

The Longest Promise (玉骨遥) is an upcoming fantasy drama based loosely on the novel Zhu Yan (prequel to the Li Yi Feng’s Mirror drama) written by Cang Yue (Listening Snow Tower). Ren Min plays a kind and headstrong princess of the Chi Clan who escapes an arranged marriage (her name is the name of the novel; looks like we can expect a lot of changes to make this Male Lead-centered drama), and Xiao Zhan plays a cold and aloof royal prince who is sent to the mountains to cultivate (due to the Grand Priest’s premonition of him falling in love with a girl). He is nine years older than her and she becomes his disciple… their destiny and romance tied to the future of Kong Sang Kingdom. At one point, she draws his blood. If you like the leads (or one of them) stabbing one another, this is your drama! 😛

Hu Yi Tian and Li Yi Tong’s DT. Appledog’s Time (Go Go Squid 2) to air in February

DT. Appledog’s Time (the drama) is the sequel to 2019’s Go Go Squid with Yang Zi and Li Xian. Both dramas are adapted from Mo Bao Fei Bao’s novels. And from what I know there are three novels in this series; God’s Left Hand, Fish Playing While Trapped in a Secret Room, and Honey Stewed Squid. Hu Yi Tian’s character, Wu Bai, is Han (Li Xian)’s cousin and he first laid eyes on the love of his life in the drama Go Go Squid (might have been different in the novel), but it was played by a different actress. In its own drama version now called DT. Appledog’s Time (亲爱的挚爱), Li Yi Tong will be playing the heroine. Our hero is a popular player of the national robot competition (different topic from the novel).

Romcom Be With You with Ji Xiao Bing and Zhang Ya Qin

From the trailers and stills, this drama gives me vibes similar to Perfect and Casual. Be With You (好想和你在一起) is a romantic comedy featuring three different types of couples. Our leading couple is played by Ji Xiao Bing and Zhang Ya Qin. She’s a enthusiastic comic writer who needs inspiration for her book so she gets close to a cool and collected professor at school, believing he’s the perfect comic book hero. I don’t know why she needs to do that, just turn on the television and there’s inspiration, especially the cold but soft inside hero! Lol.
