Vietnam adapts 200 Pounds Beauty with Minh Hang and Rocker Nguyen

Interesting. Having been adapted many times throughout Asia, 200 Pounds Beauty is originally based on the Japanese manga Kanna’s Big Success! (カンナさん大成功です!) by Yumiko Suzuki, about a ghost singer who is overweight by tv standards and is used by another popular singer for her lovely voice, until she decides to own that voice with a new altered face and body after going through rounds and rounds of intensive plastic surgery. Such a sad story about the cut-throat industry…

Offers are out to Song Wei Long, Vivian Sung, and Huang Jun Jie. I’m sure you recognize those names by now but if you don’t, click more for their pictures! Blade Of The Immortal (无限之住人) is the live adaptation of Japanese manga series by Hiroaki Samura, set in Japan during the mid-Tokugawa Shogunate period and follows the cursed samurai Manji, who has to kill 1000 evil men in order to regain his mortality [Wiki]. During his journey, he meets our heroine who is also hellbent on avenging her parents’ deaths and he becomes her bodyguard. The trailer has an epic scene with him and her against 300 warriors, with him asking, “Who should I cut down?”

The music gets me hyped up for sure!

China to remake Meteor Garden 2017: Which is Your Favorite?

I can’t with these constant remakes. XD Filming will begin in May 2017 and run for 6 months with 48 episodes. No news yet on the casting. Dun! Dun! Dunnnn! For those who have no idea what this is about, it’s based on the Japanese shōjo manga, Hana Yori Dango (花より男子) written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio, following our poor heroine as she fights against the elite group of rich boys known as F4 at a privilege school. Complicated stuff that needs to be remade every few years, yunno.

Lolol. I’m such a troll.

Live Action movie Fullmetal Alchemist featuring Ryosuke Yamada

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

My beloved anime, Fullmetal Alchemist (鋼の錬金術師), is adapted into a live action movie. Oiiiiiiiii! My heart is about to explode when I saw the first teaser, showing the beautiful wide shots of ruined cities, the horrifying transmutation circle, and a quick glance at our lovely brothers. You know it’s hard for animated characters to hit me at the heart but the heart-breaking journey featuring the Elric brothers always lands with moi very hard. They have a story to tell, a lesson to learn and to TEACH, and a courage no evil can stop.

My heart, be still.
