Aaron Yan sings for Wallace Chung’s The Road to Bid Farewell is filled with Flowers

Despite not having the youthful look like many other actresses in her age group (which to me is a big PLUS), Maggie Jiang is pretty lucky so far in her acting projects. Here she’s romancing Wallace Chung, with puppy Aaron Yan hanging around loyally, and a rock star dad in Christopher Lee!

Liu Hao Ran and Song Zu Er lead solid cast in Novoland: Eagle Flag

Well! After two months of filming, we finally have some posters to look at. Novoland: Eagle Flag (九州缥缈录) is the next drama set in the vast magical universe “Novoland”. The author, Jiang Nan, along with Jin He Zai (Tribes), is one of the original writers who created the universe and he has been working on the drama script with another person. I’m quite excited about this production since I’m fond of both of the leads, who are very young in dramaland: Liu Hao Ran is 20 this year and Song Zu Er (The Dark Lord) is only 19, same age as one of my bros. Lol. Eagle Flag follows the epic, sweeping story of three youths who found comfort in each other’s company during the vicissitudes of life and power struggles between empires, with Hao Ran playing a weak and sickly prince who is sent away….as a hostage in another land, where he meets a brave and untamed warrior (Chen Ruo Xuan) and a witty princess (Zu Er). Their story of struggle, growth, love, and friendship unleash into a heroic journey of sorts.

The hostage part sounds familiar to our dear Yan Xun? Because this is where Princess Agents novel writer picked up the threads for her main story. Lol.

Li Yi Feng, Maggie Jiang, George Hu, and Jiang Meng Jie begin filming In New York

Well, filming started a while back but they are holding the opening ceremony today In New York (also the drama title, pun intended!) Beside Li Yi Feng and Maggie Jiang as the leads, we have George Hu and Jiang Meng Jie as well. With In New York (在纽约), Li Yi Feng finally returns to modern dramaland after three years in ancient land. He will be playing a full-of-character lawyer who was raised in New York and lives strictly to uphold justice for the lower-class people. Then one day he meets a fashion designer who came all the way across the world with dreams of becoming the top dog in the said industry. It’s a story of hopeful dreams and bitter reality slaps (my own words, lol) that today’s youths can relate to. Jiang Meng Jie plays assistant and best friend to our heroine and George Hu will round out the character playing a gentleman in New York. While other cast members already missed the food back home, George is reminiscing of his past childhood being raised in New York and all.
