Drama The Legend of the Concubine’s Daughter Ming Lan reveals supporting cast; Zhu Yi Long, Cao Cui Fen

Well, well, well! We finally have the supporting cast list for Zhao Li Ying‘s next period drama, The Legend of the Concubine’s Daughter Ming Lan (庶女明兰传) written by Guan Xin Ze Luan, which previously confirmed Li Ying and Feng Shao Feng as the main leads. We only have one more month before the production kicks off somewhere in September and Li Ying will hopefully have finished up Our Glamorous Time by then. The story follows our heroine through her youth, into her adulthood, and well into her marriage life as well. She’s the 6th child of the Sheng household. Though she is an intelligent and beautiful child, she was not loved by her family (her dad, her sisters, her mom dies early.) She has to hide her intelligence and suffers through the years, hoping to avenge for her mom. During this process she will meet many friends and foes, one of which is our male lead, Gu’s second son, Gu Ting Ye. He has helped and mistreated her before, but also the one to witness her sharp wits and lonely soul. After they get married, they will work together as a power couple, managing the new King’s regime as well as harvesting a world of happiness on their own.

I haven’t started this novel….not sure whether starting it is a good idea. Lol.

New Promos: Princess Wei Young and Pretty Li Hui Zhen

I know we’re busy with crime-solving dramas at the moment but one highly anticipated palace drama scheduled to be out in 2 weeks is Tang Yan‘s hopeful villainous transformation in Princess Wei Young (锦绣未央), in which she spars against her bubbly two-faced sisters and breaks the hearts of some men on her way to the top. Will she right the wrongs that past villains failed to do? (Kap: She better or else…Lol.)

First peek at Hu Bing Qing and Zhang Dan Feng’s The Legend of Dugu

A palace drama for fans of royal cat fights. Lol. Official English title has been changed to The Legend of Dugu (独孤天下) in keeping with boring title-dom. We see our romantic couple in action and they don’t look that bad together. Hu Bing Qing is only 24 and Zhang Dan Feng is a man at 35 with a wonderful family in real life. It makes sense in this time period for the girl to be extra young and Miss Hu fits the bill. Little girl better be careful, this man has his moves proven effective. Keke =P

Sina’s Weibo Awards Night 2015

Another gathering, this one slightly bigger because everyone has weibo! There are some Korean stars thrown in the mix as well, among them my favorites from Running Man! Did you guys vote? I did. Lol. Zhao Li Ying and Kris Wu are both Weibo Queen and King respectively. Nick was the top dog and lost to Kris in the last few days!

I don’t think I have all awards figured out yet. Too many.

Flawless Yan Kuan in upcoming remake of Xiao Shi Yi Lang’s Trailer

Time to check in with another remake. Last time I wrote about the casting news was 8 months ago! Dun, dun, dun. Time flew by, didn’t it? And I kid you not. Yan Kuan, along with the cast, is perfection in every single still! Men and women everywhere should be envious. I’m excited about this one because 1) Don’t recall much about the storyline, last remake was a decade ago 2) the likable cast!

UPDATE (3/31/15): TRAILER (and more stills) IS OUT!!
