Zhao Li Ying’s Updates: 30th Birthday, Swordsman Game Promo, Cosmo, Ming Lan BTS

Sorry, this post is a bit delayed, a little incidence happened and my presence was needed elsewhere after work. In any case, our girl turns the big 30 today! I’m sure she’s feeling the pressure from friends and families to find the special person and settle down but I do want her to know that she should go at her own pace. Some folks hurry into commitments and not take the time to explore and find happiness within themselves. You gotta love yourself first, before loving and allowing love to come into your life!

Happy Birthday Li Ying! ❤ ❤ ❤

Allen Ren Jia Lun’s first drama Detective Dee has finally aired!

Allen Ren Jia Lun, you lucky duck. I thought this drama already aired. NOT. Lol. Who would have thought his first drama was three years ago and he was cast as the leading male in his first role? Along with a handful of recognizable faces in today’s news such as Andy Chen Yi, Jiao Jun Yan, Han Qing Zi, and Li Ruo Jia. Detective Dee (通天狄仁杰), like the name suggests, is a period detective series set during rule of Emperor Gaozong of Tang (how fitting of a period for Allen!) led by a very green rookie actor. Do you see his potentials then?

Princess Agents Discussion Post Week 9: Episodes 65 – 67 Finale

It’s finally ending! I have never been this excited to see a drama end, to put me out of my misery. As Princess Agents broke another dramaland record of surpassing 40 Billion online views during its run, I’m equal parts happy and annoyed. Lol. Happy for the hard work the actors and crew put in but annoyed that now the writer and director would think the secret to a ratings hit is a combination of half-assed story line and inept directing. See, cdramaland needs less of those and more of a step-up in all directions.

Princess Agents Discussion Post Week 8: Episodes 57 – 64

One more week! I feel bad for Li Qin. She’s terribly wasted in here… combining all her screen time, she has less than Yuwen Huai… and he’s been dead!

Princess Agents: Episodes 38 – 41 Recap “Yan Xun’s Bloody Rebellion.”

Here we are at the second major arc in the story. Everyone makes a decision in these episodes, decisions that have deadly consequences. Decisions that they will have to live with for the rest of their lives. Besides the innocent civilians, nobody else is innocent, everybody has blood on their hands. And I have come to understand Yan Xun’s central role in the story; what happened because of him and due to him, sets the trajectories for the rest of the characters and story.

He’s the stimulus, kicking all the sleeping characters to fight for their faith. I suddenly feel enlightened about the novel as a whole.

Princess Agents Discussion Post Week 6: Episodes 41 – 48

I’m in the minority, I do not want a second season, with or without the original cast. After the hellish world the director and writer put me through with 60+ episodes, why would I want them to do it again? They will possibly add more unnecessary plot lines to make it another 60+ production, with Chu Qiao fainting every episode, she might have amnesia again in season 2. Lol. Filming up to the ice lake arc is to me sufficient, it’s a defining moment where Chu Qiao knows about Yue’s feelings, the rest of the chapters…. more battles and Yan Xun’s cruelty. I don’t need those, either!

Anyway, this will be a tough week to watch as everything descends into madness. Hold on to your seat!
