Another Blossom?! π π π
Blossoms of Power (ηΎθ±ζ) is adapted from the novel The Imperial Song β After I Bloom, A Hundred Flowers Die written by Jin Huang. The novel unfortunately only has 2 chapters translated so far by Celestial-dreamer.
This looks to be our leads’ third collaboration! He Yu played the younger version of the Emperor in Blossom and they also played a couple in The Legend of Heroes 2024. Another surprising face in the cast is the return of Jeremy Tsui who took a year-long break from showbiz and announced his comeback September of last year.
The story sounds interesting. DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DON’T WANT NOVEL SPOILERS. THE DRAMA WILL LIKELY CHANGE MANY THINGS, though. It’s a palace drama with lots of princes and scheming. Our male lead is an ailing crown prince who’s been poisoned since he was young so he spends his days pretending to be really frail although he practices martial arts (heh). He is described as scheming, cold-blooded, and manipulative. Our female lead, in her previous life, was married to the previous Crown Prince (second male lead), but committed suicide after the execution of her whole family under his supervision, forced by the Emperor (yikes!). Her soul enters the body of a general’s daughter. She’s later sent by her father to the capital to find a royal husband – our male lead. She’s equally cunning and cold.
