The Legend of Flying Daggers drops silky costume posters

Is this the promo week for costumes? Which production to outdo the rest and rise above in terms of creativity and beauty? I don’t mind one-colored costumes but then you set yourself up for some needed eye-catching designs to prevent blandness! Gu Long’s The Legend of Flying Daggers drops a batch of posters for their characters yesterday and I’m pretty much not as pumped as I thought I would be. They overly photoshopped these actors too much! C’mon, editing crew, you have a group of beautiful people!

With all that being said, I haven’t finished Julian (Chi Lam)’s version yet, I think I’m stuck at episode 5 or something. No time!

Gu Long’s Flying Daggers casts Hawick Lau, Yang Rong, Gui Gui

As reported earlier last week, next on Hawick Lau‘s list to romance is Yang Rong, aka his wife’s best friend’s thief (Lol). But there is discrepancy in the news and Hawick may not be the lead as originally planned, which I’m okay with. I wanted a new face opposite Yang Rong, someone with a natural charming flair. Of the current new faces, Elvis Han (yes, our Monk Wu Xin) has that part down pat. It comes easily for him but he’s busy being the IT boy for Tangren productions (Sigh~). Anywho, Legend of the Flying Daggers is the fifth and final installment to Gu Long‘s Little Li Flying Dagger series. FYI, Zhu Yi Long’s Border Town Prodigal is the third installment. The drama’s weibo page has steadily churned out quick posters of its cast members and I’m very pleased with each reveal. YAY!

Zhang Han’s The Classic of Mountains and Seas unleashes official stills

This drama was first mentioned in my batch of entertainment news here. The production held a press conference today and revealed a surge of first stills, giving us a look at Zhang Han‘s costumes for his good and evil character, controlled by the said forces of nature. He plays a prince/king who is abandoned in fear of causing the death of his own father and another mysterious character. It’s a fantasy type of drama where legends and mythical creatures play a huge role in the outcome of one’s life. I’m more interested in the supporting leads to be honest. Zhang Han has yet to connect with me as an actor.

Some happy confirmations and uncertain offers. Fresh pairings and old reunions. All I have to say is, “All roads lead back to Legend of the Ancient Sword.” Lol.
