Chong Zi (重紫) is based on the novel written by Shu Ke. The story is almost identical to Hua Qian Gu, with the romance being between a highly-respected immortal male lead who takes in our innocent female lead born with the dark force, fated to join the dark side, as his disciple. She does not want to harm anyone but everyone takes turn to torture/harm her just because of her dark force. Her shifu wants to protect her and the world, but he struggles to do both. The difference that I found between this and HQG is that in here, there are multiple life times/reincarnations, so she does die a few times, even at the hands of the man she completely adores.
As a saying goes, one must achieve something when young because he cannot stay young forever. Liang Chen and Lu Jing made it. Liang Chen is devoted to bringing good music works to the listeners, expressing the idea of being kind, real and perfect. Lu Jing loves computer and big data research. He is highly recognized by academic field through studying complicated human behavior and psychology, thus influencing the classmates around by his solid specialty literacy. They are strangers first but then brought together by big data and they become closer in the journey of pursuing dreams.
I anticipated the whole week for this event until the bomb dropped last night that Li Ying wouldn’t be able to attend because she needed to film an important scene for her movie, Ride the Winds Break the Waves, with Eddie and Deng Chao. Sigh….. Her manager went in her stead and she won Artist of the Year Award. Most of the attendees were Li Ying’s co-stars too! Good thing they have a good variety of stars to reel me back in. heh. The pretty!
The more clues our main characters uncover, the deeper they realize the rabbit hole goes. While the show takes its sweet time setting up the stage for Er Ye to join the tomb-raiding squad, I’m trying to find a reason to care for the Japanese secret experiment and the mystery of the ancient tomb. Entertain better, show!
I uploaded a few more character previews of the other characters. One character in particular stood out from the rest. He might just be the scene stealer of the tomb-raiding community and Lay should be worried!
What? You didn’t know? Raiding ancient people’s resting places is the new trend for many beautiful people these days. Old Nine Gates (老九门) is the prequel to The Lost Tomb and follows the leaders of the nine grave-robbing family and their adventures to save the people of Changsha from a potential deadly threat. Posters of the main characters were just released including leading men in William Chan and Zhang Yi Xing, as well as a cameo appearance from the busy queen Zhao Li Ying.
