Chinese Remake of Extraordinary You: One Day in July with Shen Yue and Chen Shi Cheng begins filming

Released in 2019, Korean drama Extraordinary You is adapted from the webtoon “July Found by Chance” by Moo Ryoo. Now we get a Chinese remake! I might not be used to Shen Yue in long hair so I didn’t recognize her until a second glance.

Synopsis Per Wiki: The series follows high school girl Eun Dan-oh (Kim Hye-yoon) who is a student at a prestigious academy. One day, by chance, she discovers that the world she lives in is a fantasy world of comics. She and everyone else are merely characters in a comic book entitled Secret,[c] all under the authority of their omnipotent and omniscient Writer. Dan-oh is only an extra character and, worse, the Writer gave her a lame set-up: she is engaged to her long-time crush who despises her, and she has a heart disease and is expected to die soon.

Not satisfied with this fate, Dan-oh decides to forge her own destiny by changing the story’s plot and finding her own true love. Her hopes of freeing herself from the Writer’s control becomes stronger than before when she unexpectedly meets nameless Student Number 13 (Rowoon). But as the events around Dan-oh and Number 13, whom she named as Haru, gradually start to have parallels with the Writer’s previous work Neungsohwa,[d] changing her destiny could have a price to pay.

Our female lead is a reporter and even though she realizes who he is, she pretends not to know him – and he does the same thing. Something happens and they end up being housemates.

Li Qin and Zeng Shun Xi experience a wintry romance in Snowy Night: Timeless Love

Snowy Night: Timeless Love is adapted from the novel Seven Nights Snow (七夜雪) written by Cang Yue. The story involves four main characters and the seven days of heavy snowfall, most importantly is the last night. Our hero is a swordsman – and from one reviewer – he’s lovesick and not strong mentally, often “late” resulting in many regrets (ahum). Joseph said he has a lot of fighting scenes in this drama. He was in love with another woman but watched with his own eyes as she married another man and now spent years of his life seeking medicine to treat the woman’s child. That journey leads him to meet our female lead, master of the medicine valley, who has her own rules when treating; 10 people a year + costly payments. Her past is tragic as her family of royal physicians were framed and she luckily escaped the sentence, but she’s fraught with guilt and a frail body, hence she doesn’t leave the valley.

Airing 10/9!

I’m excited! I’m excited! *PLEASEBEGOODPLEASEBEGOOD*
