The first Chinese drama I ever saw was “Novoland: Castle in the Sky” and it’s what jump-started my love of C-dramas, so when I saw the trailer for the Novoland-inspired The Legend of the Naga Pearl, it caught my attention. It also stars Crystal Zhang who was in my favorite comedy, “Go, Princess, Go”, and I’ve been wanting to see her again in something else. This is a visually stunning, fantasy and adventure movie about a thief, a detective and a prince who try to save their city, Uranopolis, from the apocalypse.
From the Ghosts Blow Out the Light franchise, here comes another adaptation – Gui Chui Deng Zhi Mu Ye Gui Shi (鬼吹灯之牧野诡事), an the upcoming webdrama starring Gina Jin, Darren Wang, and Wang Li Xin. The story follows fellow ruffian (Darren) being approached by a mysterious woman (Gina) with information about his missing parents of twenty years. Together with a few friends, they engage on dangerous paths into tombs to uncover deep buried secrets. First trailer is released and I’m happy to see a stronger and ass-kicking Gina! Them legs and moves!
GAHHH. Miss Li Qin is stunningly, hauntingly beautiful in these stills with her shiny eyes, filled with unshed tears. Everyone looks good in the upcoming period drama The Majesty of Wolf (狼殿下), including male lead in Darren Wang, fellow Taiwanese actress Guo Shu Yao (Aim High), and Xiao Zhan.
Originally called The Majesty of Wolf, the new costume series is now known as The Wolf (Lang Dian Xia 狼殿下), starring OTP in Li Qin and Darren Wang Da Lu. It is the second installment of the Wang series franchise after Prince of Lan Ling. The booting ceremony was held yesterday’s morning with Li Qin in attendance. She’s a busy drama queen (not the bad kind! XD) this year, series after series. Quite a few Taiwanese actors are partaking in here as well, which makes sense given that Ariel Lin was in the first installment.
