The Long-Awaited Joy of Life Season 2 with Zhang Ruo Yun, Wu Gang, and Li Qin confirms air date

My plan has changed. Now that I realize there’s a third part to this series. I’m gonna delay my viewing decision. Lol. Joy of Life Season 2 (庆余年 第二季) has confirmed to begin airing on 5/16! The first part ended on a cliff-hanger back in 2019 and I just count my lucky stars I did not watch it back then, the wait would have roasted me! xD

Synopsis Per MZTV: After leaving the audience in suspense with an impactful ending in the first season, Joy of Life 2 picks up the story where it left off. Fan Xian will face unprecedented pressure, a more complex situation, and even trickier challenges. The way he confronts the threats and life-or-death tests from the Second Prince and the Eldest Princess while striving to fulfill his mother’s ideals will become one of the highlights of the second season. As eagerly anticipated by fans of the FanWan couple, they will finally witness the long-awaited wedding of Fan Xian and Lin Wan’er. However, their sweet love will face unexpected trials after marriage.

My Best Friend’s Story starring Liu Shi Shi and Ni Ni Begins Filming

My Best Friend’s Story (流金岁月) officially announced casting in Chen Dao Ming, Dong Zi Jian, Liu Shi Shi, Ni Ni, Tian Yu, Tony Yang and Yang Le. Based on a novel by Yi Shu, the screenplay is written by Qin Wen and directed by Shen Yan (The Rise of Phoenixes). The director and scriptwriter last collaborated for the drama The First Half of My Life, which was also based on a novel by the same author. This is Ni Ni’s second time working with the director. Filming began 4/28.

Zhang Ruo Yun’s drama Qing Yu Nian confirms Li Qin, Song Yi, Li Chun, and more!

Wow, what stellar casting, both in the young and older generation of the ensemble! After confirming Zhang Ruo Yun as the male lead a few months back, the production finally releases a bunch of posters for the remaining cast with Li Qin taking the female lead role. Qing Yu Nian or known in English as Joy of Life or Extra life in Qing is a novel written by Mao Ni.

Jin Dong and Ma Yi Li’s The First Half of My Life to air

Dang, no place for young kids in this drama! An adult show about middle-aged women and their struggles in society. In The First Half of My Life (我的前半生), Ma Yi Li plays a married housewife in her mid thirties and her life turns upside down when her husband wants a divorce. She doesn’t have any work experience and to top it off, she also has a young kid to support, what will life be like for her? In comes Jin Dong‘s character, a perfect gentleman, a businessman who recently return to Shanghai to manage his business. He’s a busy man with a quality lifestyle and after meeting her, he’s thrown into her messy life. Both of their lives have been peaceful and calm, how will a fateful meeting challenge and reward them in the latter half of their lives?

I waited to publish this post, hoping the press conference (today!) would drop a trailer! But nothing! Na-da! WHAA? It’s airing next week!
