Alrighty drifters, let’s clear this rumor once and for all. Billion Dollar Heirs is not the Chinese version of Heirs. The production team has been planning it for two years and the SARFT application was submitted in June of last year, way before the ruckus that is Heirs. Ariel Lin was offered the female lead role but she refuses because she wants to finish her Masters degree (Performance Arts) in UK. When asked whether she follows Kdramas, Ariel confesses that she rarely does, but if opportunity arises, she would like to film with veteran actor Choi Min Sik, whose performance in Oldboy left a deep impression on her.
