Zhu Xu Dan, Xiong Zi Qi lead webdrama Painting Heart Expert

Hua Xin Shi or Painting Heart Expert/Teacher (working title) (画心师) is an upcoming webdrama produced by Sohu with the villain Zhu Xu Dan from Ten Miles of Peach Blossom and SpeXial’s Xiong Zi Qi (My Mr. Mermaid) as leads. I’m gonna attempt to translate the synopsis but it’s way over my head in terms of understanding. So there are these two opposing academies, one collects good, pure feelings/sentiments, while the other one feeds on people’s impure thoughts. Sounds like the good old days of good versus evil, and justice will prevail in the end.

The Journey of Flower (Hua Qian Gu): Episode 45 – 48 “Breaking Point.”

It’s my breaking point for this series.I wonder what overcame the writer to plan out the story this way. She builds up all these interesting, conflicted, and very much likable characters and then rapidly kills them off one-by-one, leaving literally only a batch of ugly villains behind. Am I supposed to care after all my characters are gone? AM I? If she’s trying to tell me that being the top dog is the loneliest job, she has already succeeded with the male characters, no need to force the young girl into the same position by being more cruel than necessary. I have a bad feeling that the demon goddess will disappoint me in more than one way…

EDIT: **ADDED EPISODE 47 & 48 – 9/6/15** FINALE IS TOMORROW!

Will be adding the uncut streaming version from youtube to this post as they come out. Recaps will hopefully be done by the end of the week. 🙂

Rave/Rant away!

The Journey of Flower (Hua Qian Gu): Episode 33 – 36 “Reckless actions.”

Much better than last week’s episodes because events finally escalate to one climax of the story and we get some truths of the big picture as well. You know what they say, the road to Hell is paved by one’s love for Bai Zi Hua good intentions. Everyone wants to protect and save him despite the costs. And I will throw out Spark’s epic question: Do the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few…or in this case, the one?

The Journey of Flower (Hua Qian Gu): Episode 29 – 32 “Running in Circles.”

You and me both, sister.

That’s it. I’m officially drained by the draggy plot and repetitive actions of these characters. No humor left to entertain ya’ll. Everyone runs in circles… and the Vampire Period of Bai Zi Hua begins. Fans have been grumbling about the removal of those “munching” scenes but I really don’t have any complaints. I have no interest in seeing how he chomps all over her body.

The Journey of Flower (Hua Qian Gu): Episode 25 – 28 “Deep slumber.”

You know you’re at the half-way mark when you don’t recognize the opening theme song because it’s a new one, “Through the Ages” by the very talented Alan Dawa Dolma. And it’s a much slower song than the previous one. Not sure I like it yet but the power of brainwashing is very strong for this series…if you catch my drift. Ha. And when I say deep slumber, it takes on both literal and figurative meanings. What’s the benefits of being immortal if you’re gonna be miserable all the time? It’s a pass for moi!
