Tomb-raiding series Wu Xie Si Jia Bi Ji with Francis Ng, Cao Lei, and Xu Zhen Xuan announces premiere date

Just when I think I understand the sheer amount of dramas adapted from this novel franchise, they go and release more dramas. I’m done trying to chronologically categorize them. Just watch and enjoy, okay folks?

Wu Xie Si Jia Bi Ji or could be translated as Wu Xie’s Private Notes (吴邪私家笔记) is yet another tomb-raiding series adapted from Wu Xie Si Jia Bi Ji by Kennedy Xu. Synopsis Per TMDB: Antique dealer Wu Xie stumbles upon a cryptic silk text, leading his uncle and a team to explore its hidden map. Airing 9/20.

William Chan, Zeng Shun Xi, and Chen Yao confirmed for republican drama The Treasured Bajia Book (The Mystic Nine 2)

The Treasured Bajia Book (九门) is adapted from the novel Old Nine Gates (老九门) written by Kennedy Xu. If you remember, there’s a drama adaptation in 2016 with William and Lay Zhang called The Mystic Nine (prequel to The Lost Tomb). This can be considered as part 2 with William reprising the same role as Zhang Qi Shan aka Fo Ye. Zeng Shun Xi will be playing Wu Lao Guo, Wu Xie’s grandfather (Wu Xie is the main character in The Lost Tomb series franchise). And yes, Shun Xi has played Wu Xie before. hehe. Chen Yao plays Hu Xian Gu, the only female member of the nine legendary grave-robbing families in Changsha.

Filming began 5/31! There’s a rumor of Li Ying playing a cameo as Fo Ye’s adorable wife and I really hope it’s true. They have insane chemistry!

Drama Sand Sea confirms Wu Lei, Yang Rong, Qin Hao, and Zhang Ming En

And it’s official. Yang Rong‘s co-stars continue to be younger and younger. xD Her next project puts her alongside Leo Wu Lei in Kennedy Xu’s novel, Sand Sea (Sha Hai 沙海). He’s turning 18 this year… Novel series Sand Sea I think takes place 10/15 years after The Lost Tomb and stands independently with four volumes, three of them revolves around the main character Li Cu played by Wu Lei (who’s been confirmed since June of this year.)
