First Trailer for Wallace Chung, Angelababy’s General and I
General and I is adapted from the novel Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang or A Lonesome Fragrance Waiting to be Appreciated (孤芳不自赏) written by Feng Nong. It stars Angelababy as a very “plain” looking woman who wants to be valued by her intelligence. She’s kidnapped and sold to the enemy of her master, where she schemes a new identity and charms everyone around, hoping to return to her original lord. However, new territory brings new faces, and a handsome general (Wallace Chung) engages her in a battle of wits, love, and loyalty. Smexy.
Looks like Wallace is probably gonna own the first half of 2017 with his attractive dramas.

YESH! Find your favorites walking the red carpet for their respected dramas at the 22nd Shanghai TV Festival! But noooo to another red carpet event. Lol. The Legend of Mi Yue is the biggest winner of the night for the Magnolia Awards. All shades of purple on the ladies though. Variety girls!

You guys will have to suspend your belief a little here. A heroine who looks plain and relies on her wit and intelligence to charm the people around her is not written anywhere in the bubbly epitome of Angelababy. Her wardrobe might be plain but she’s simply stunning. Adapted from the novel Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang or A Lonesome Fragrance Waiting to be Appreciated (孤芳不自赏), the drama title has been decided to be General and I, and our smart heroine plots her way back to her master in the enemy territory with a new identity. There she meets a handsome and dashing general (Wallace Chung) and their sparkling bantering plants a seed of romance.

Yep! Another production starts rolling. Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang or otherwise known to novel fans as A Lonesome Fragrance Waiting to be Appreciated (孤芳不自赏) holds its booting ceremony today too. Cast members include Wallace Chung, Angelababy, Sun Yi Zhou, and Gan Ting Ting. The novel is written by Feng Nong and tells the story of a highly intellectual but quite average-looking maid who is abducted and married off to the enemy of her master. Trapped, she uses a fake identity to protect her life while living in the enemy territory. Of course, where ever there are people, feelings begin to grow and develop, and this causes conflicts with her loyalty to her original master. So she loves the successful general but has to sabotage him for her master’s sake…? Okay, folks, did I get the story right? It’s 12am at night here. Lol.

Caught a break and went to watch The Jungle Book with my little boy. Seems like the running theme in all Disney movies is identifying and enhancing one’s sense of self (be the best of you!) Haven’t watched the original movie or animation series, but I enjoyed the movie and loved it quite a bit. Baloo and his jokes got me rolling.

Looking down my list, a whole lot of drama productions ended filming around the same time. Lol.
