Lin Jiang Xian (临江仙) is an original screenplay, produced by Yu Zheng aka Yumama. Like his previous productions, he has been teasing fans with tidbits and an abundance of stills. I kinda like that we don’t know much about the story so no comparisons like a lot of novel-to-drama adaptations these days.

Synopsis from Qiyi: The drama is adapted from the novel “I Have Three Dragon Childhood Sweethearts” by Yi Dai Xue. The story revolves around Nanyan (played by Jing Tian), a skilled doctor who is forced to embark on a journey in the world of immortals to save her mother. Through a series of coincidences, she forms a mystical connection called the “Spiritual Connection Seal” with the enigmatic Emperor Ji Yang (played by Zhang Linghe), who conceals his true identity. Nanyan is practical and down-to-earth, while Ji Yang is aloof and mysterious, embodying the essence of a true immortal. Initially, the two dislike each other, but as they investigate Nanyan’s mother’s illness, they become entangled in a conspiracy within the world of immortals.

Snow Fall (冰雪谣; previously known as The Shadow) is adapted from the novel written by Ni Luo, who is also the author for Wu Xin: The Monster Killer. Much to fans’ happiness, Gao Wei Guang is finally going to portray a vampire. Lol. A thousand years old vampire who is a famous business man. He angers the Japanese during a transaction and they send a group of assassins after him. During the chase, he’s rescued by our blind female lead (played by Ouyang Nana) and her friend (played by Dong Si Cheng). To repay her kindness, he searches for her and discovers her bad family situation, prompting his concern and protectiveness over her. The people behind the assassination join hand with a common enemy of his and promise to uncover the truth behind our male lead.

Fated Hearts (一笑随歌) is adapted from the novel Yi Xiao by Chi Yi Qian Yu. During war, female archer (our heroine) from the country Jinxiu successfully shot and wounded their eldest prince (our hero) from the enemy country Susha. However, she disappears shortly after falling off a cliff. The injured prince is also chased in battle and goes missing after the war. He later meets the same female archer in a small village, except she has lost her memories and has a disabled arm. Finding the whole situation suspicious, he takes her with him on a journey to unveil the conspiracy between the two countries.

Dashing Youth (少年白马醉春风) is the prequel to the well-loved 2022 drama The Blood of Youth. It follows our hero played by Neo who is described as stubborn and doesn’t like to learn poems or martial arts. He only likes to make wine. He had a best friend who was murdered and later reunited under a different name played by He Yu. As we all know how fate works, he’s accepted into a martial arts school and meets a group of youngsters, making him evaluate his life choices. When his best friend is used to launch a war, he has to step up to protect the world and the boy he once knew!
