A new variety show is coming to town! Dunno about you but the first three names (powerhouse of talents!) is enough to have my interest piqued for Zhejiang new variety show called Super Boys (高能少年团) with Zhang Yi Shan, Liu Hao Ran, Dong Zi Jian, Karry Wang Jun Kai, and Darren Wang. The show will be putting the boys through various outdoor and indoor challenges over a course of their weekly adventures. There are guests! Female guests and the list will send you drooling about. What to do with the bouncy youthful energy all around you?!

Divas Hit The Road Season 3: Boran Jing, Zhang Ruo Yun, Maggie Jiang
Season 3 of Chinese variety show, Divas Hit The Road (花兒與少年) commences filming yesterday! All the confirmed cast members headed to Brazil for their first shoot. Fans! Stalker mode on! I mean…nicely, give them privacy and distant comfort. Lol. It is a star-studded season with Boran Jing, Zhang Ruo Yun, Maggie Jiang, Tony Yang, Bolin Chen, Guli Nazha, and baby Song Zu Er (used to be a child actress, now 18).
Run Brother Season 5 changes name, adds Dilraba Dilmurat
So it’s official! Run Brother Weibo has announced they will be waiting for Angelababy’s return while confirming the adorable Dilraba Dilmurat as the new member during her absence. The male members remain the same with Deng Chao, Li Chen, Zheng Kai, Wong Cho Lam, Lu Han, and Michael Chen He. They will begin shooting at the end of February for an April/early May broadcast. Beside that, the show will change its name from Run Brother to Keep Running. Some speculate it has to do with being a different name from its Korean counterpart. There was also news of Tang Yi Xin joining the program, but nothing official yet.
Baron Chen joins Hunan’s The Bachelor with 25 Beauties
Whut???? China is remaking all types of variety shows! The latest one that came upon my radar is dating game show The Bachelor and first season has 25 beautiful ladies vying for the attention of Baron Chen as the charming single man. I don’t watch or follow the US Versions (The Bachelor and The Bachelorette) merely because I hate the idea of pitting women against women, and men against men for entertainment purposes, veiled as helpful and romantic and fighting for love. Pshhh. When I saw a segment of the show on youtube the guy literally kisses every single girl, I was flamed. But of course, with every show, there’s a target audience.
Yang Mi and Tong Li Ya join the boys in Takes A Real Man 2
I haven’t followed variety shows in so long so this news came as a surprise. Takes a Real Man (真正男子汉) is the Chinese Version of the Korean show, Real Man (much like Run Brothers to Korea’s Running Man), featuring a group of celebrities experiencing life in the military. Season one created many beautiful friendships, one of which includes Yuan Hong and his young brother Liu Hao Ran, who rounded out his handsome groomsmen. In season 2, they have added on four lovely female celebrities to mix up the dynamics. They are Yang Mi, Tong Li Ya, Zhang Lan Xin, and Shen Meng Chen, along with a group of male stars in Jiang Jin Fu, Huang Zi Tao, Li Rui, and Sun Yang.
