I anticipated the whole week for this event until the bomb dropped last night that Li Ying wouldn’t be able to attend because she needed to film an important scene for her movie, Ride the Winds Break the Waves, with Eddie and Deng Chao. Sigh….. Her manager went in her stead and she won Artist of the Year Award. Most of the attendees were Li Ying’s co-stars too! Good thing they have a good variety of stars to reel me back in. heh. The pretty!
Well, all sorts of awards. At Baidu Commercial Conference, Zhao Li Ying and Yang Yang are crowned Most Commercially Valuable Actress and Actor, respectively, in the year 2016. Lol. They have a lot of internet money on Baidu. XD
Are you ready to see your favorite stars glitter down the red carpet for the 53rd Golden Horse Film Awards in Taipei on November 26th, 2016? Even if you don’t win an award, a spot in light is always nice exposure. 😀
The annual charity event hosted by Bazaar China is back! I both love and dislike these events. Lol. I don’t know how many pictures I scrolled through in the last three hours to compile the pictures! In general, the men look pretty good this batch but the ladies have quite a few misses in the fashion department.
YESH! Find your favorites walking the red carpet for their respected dramas at the 22nd Shanghai TV Festival! But noooo to another red carpet event. Lol. The Legend of Mi Yue is the biggest winner of the night for the Magnolia Awards. All shades of purple on the ladies though. Variety girls!
Films from all over the world getting their sneak peeks and previews. And stars decked out in all sorts of finery and bling bling. Still lacking in colors but nothing crazy.
Another gathering, this one slightly bigger because everyone has weibo! There are some Korean stars thrown in the mix as well, among them my favorites from Running Man! Did you guys vote? I did. Lol. Zhao Li Ying and Kris Wu are both Weibo Queen and King respectively. Nick was the top dog and lost to Kris in the last few days!
I don’t think I have all awards figured out yet. Too many.
Let’s start a new tradition! I think we have a healthy population to get a decent percentage. I tried my best to include as many dramas as possible (at least the ones with accessible links and viewership.) As I came up with categories to add, I realized I didn’t watch/finish that many dramas this year. So you guys can definitely help with creative polls ideas for next year (lots of improvement needed!). I like to start small and build up from there. Just one reminder though, don’t turn this page into a war zone! Everyone is entitled to like and vote for the dramas/actors that spoke to them the most this year. It is our difference that makes the discussion colorful and interesting.
