Remnants of Gold (金色) is adapted from the novel Da Di Fei Ying (大地飞鹰) written by Gu Long. It is slotted for 12 episodes. TVB did a loose adaptation back in 1992 with Francis Ng and Kitty Lai but I don’t remember much except for Francis’ bad canopy bangs. Lol.
The story surrounds the mysterious appearance of 300,000 taels of gold in the middle of desert, igniting a storm among many factions to obtain the huge amount of money. Words on the streets say that anyone coveting the gold will become a vengeful ghost consumed by madness. In the midst of chaos, our female lead returns to the desert seeking for revenge, now armed with a body immune to all poisons after the slaughter of her family.
