Overdo (这一秒过火) is adapted from the novel written by Fei Wo Si Cun. I foresee a lot of suffering in this drama per Stepmother’s style. Lol

Synopsis Per Qiyi: In Republican-era Shanghai, Murong Qingyi (played by Zhang Linghe) suffers years of abuse from his adoptive father after being mistakenly switched at birth. While fleeing as a teenager, he is rescued by Ren Susu (played by Wang Churan), but the encounter brings catastrophe upon her family. Years later, the two meet again and gradually fall in love. However, to save others, Ren Susu fakes her death and disappears, leaving Murong Qingyi devastated. Three years later, Ren Susu returns, engaged to become Murong Qingyi’s future sister-in-law. The reunited pair is no longer the people they once were. One is consumed by resentment over what he believes to be a betrayal, while the other carries a pain she cannot bring herself to reveal.
