One Hot 3-Way Battle in Cdramaland in May: Xiao Zhan’s The Legend of Zang Hai vs Li Xian’s A Love Never Lost vs Song Zu Er’s The Prisoner of Beauty

It’s RAINING DRAMAS!! WEEEEEEEE~~ Lol. This is gonna be a hot mess or maybe it’s the best time to be a cdrama fan as all three dramas just confirmed their airing date! Are you watching all three? Or just one? Or two?? My top one is Song Zu Er and Liu Yu Ning’s The Prisoner of Beauty, and if I have time, The Legend of Zang Hai. Have never watched Xiao Zhan in anything and he’s very popular, so I’m curious!

=======> ♦ Republican drama A Love Never Lost (人生若如初见) with Li Xian, Chun Xia, and Wei Da Xun confirmed airing today 5/13~ Per Qiyi, the story focuses on the intertwined destinies of five aspiring youths who rose up to save the nation from ruin after losing the Sino-Japanese War.

=======> ♦ The Prisoner of Beauty (折腰) with Song Zu Er and Liu Yu Ning. It’s adapted from the novel The Marquis Is Innocent written by Peng Lai Ke. I read some reviews. Here’s the gist: There’s war, there’s romance, there’s love after a political marriage. There is a time-traveling element. In the first life time, our heroine ends up an Imperial Concubine and gets killed by the emperor when the kingdom falls apart. She wakes up in her teenage self and tries to change a few things around to save her family from tragedy. Instead of her sister/cousin marrying into the Wei Family; specifically to the mighty General Wei Shao (and the whole clan ends up dying), our heroine unexpectedly ends up the one marrying him. Keep in mind, the two families hate each other too (deaths involved) so tension is sky high. He’s revenge-driven. How will our girl melt the hero’s hardy heart?
