You Are My Hero (你是我的城池营垒) is an upcoming tencent drama starring Ma Si Chun and Bai Jing Ting. She’s a MD resident and he’s a policeman. They step on each other’s toes during a emergency drill between the hospital and police academy. But having worked together day after day forces the two individuals to see each other in a new light. When an earthquake strikes and the two are sent to offer help/rescue those stranded, they are touched by each other’s bravery and kindness in dire situations.

It has been a while since I’ve been obsessed with a drama, but YAMH is really that good. At first I didn’t think Bai Jingting and Sandra Ma would work as a couple but I was definitely proven wrong in the first few episodes. BJT is killing it as Xing Kelei and I’m enjoying his portrayal of someone who’s fallen in love for the first time. Please give him a proper kiss scene!
As for Sandra, I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed because I feel like her acting has always been solid and she’s an award winning actress. She already impressed me in their first scene together. She keeps getting better and better.

Your comment got my curious now chasingpolaris. I have never seen BJT as the romanctic male lead type before. You’re making me curious about their chemistry. I like Sandra Ma but wasn’t gonna fall for the Descendants of the Sun remake hype.

I recommend giving the first couple of episodes a try! BJT hasn’t been in a lot of romance dramas if I recall.
I know it looks like a remake but it’s actually based on a book that was written before DOTS. Other than the leads’ professions being the same, they are two very different stories as I’m told since I don’t watch Kdramas.

The MLs and 2nd leads acting are superb! All elements to make it successful is in this drama,; love story, comedy, acting, tearjearker scenes and and wonderful storyline. The places they shoot were real! Amazing directikn and acting on all. BJT and SM acting is seamless. Kudos to all esp to the director and all the behind rhe scenes staff. I gave this drama 9.5!
