Interesting choice to recast the actress known to the entire Wuxin universe as the delightful villain Yue Qi Luo in the PREQUEL, but as an entirely different character. But again they’ve done that with Ian Wang in the first and second installments. Parts of me hoping they’d stick to tradition and have Chen Yao reprise as Yue Qi Luo while explaining origins of the character and perhaps feud with Wuxin. However this could seemingly work, considering Chen Yao looks so grown up now and gives off a much different vibe and persona (compared to her Wuxin debut) combined with her versatility as an actress.
