His mother’s mysterious background led her to abandon her family. Our hero promises to become strong and reunite with his mother. Along his journey, he saves a our heroine (Nana), and love blooms between the two youngsters.

I think it’s a mis-cast! Or maybe the person funding this drama wants to promote a certain young boy group or actor(s). I’d always liked strong male and female leads, but the ML in this drama is too young and his acting left much to be desired. It’s like watching a kid trying to act like an adult! He would fit nicely into middle/ junior high school dramas but not in an adventure, fantasy romance drama where the ML is supposed to have this strong leader-type charisma.

He is one of the TFBoys. I think drama casting him is a symbiotic relationship: Getting his huge following of young, and probably not so discerning, fans as viewers while promoting his acting career. My feeling is acting-wise he’s the most green among the 3 TFBoys.
