=======> ♦ Bai Lu continues to dip her feet in the modern romance world, this time romancing Luo Yun Xi in the novel-to-drama adaptation called Love Is Sweet (半是蜜糖半是伤). She plays a young, idealistic woman who holds a master’s degree in both economics and psychology and is a little sensitive to tears. After her father’s death, she enters an investment banking company to follow his wishes and that is where she’s reunited with her childhood-friend-now-Deputy-general-manager played by Luo Yuo Xi. While she’s happy to see him, she finds him a changed person, now opposing her at every corner, and known for his poisonous tongue. I’m reading some comments from novel readers and it looks like HE is in love with HER, but she likes someone else, so he conspires to break them apart. HA. The English title of the drama is misleading too, as the literal translation is Half of Life is Honey, Half of Life is Hurt/Pain.
=======> ♦ Zhang Yu Xi looks like a live barbie doll at the filming ceremony for her new drama, Intense Love (韫色过浓), where she’s paired up with Ding Yu Xi. She plays an actress who lives in the center of attention wherever she goes and insists on remaining a sought-after bachelorette. Her parents have other ideas and lucky for them, she eventually meets the man she’s engaged to – a handsome, perfect doctor, played by Ding Yu Xi. I’m supposed to believe his young face is a doctor?! But if Kdrama can do it, it’s fair that Cdrama can to. Lol.
=======> ♦ Hu Bing Qing‘s upcoming project is novel-turned-drama Insect Totem (虫图腾) with the adorable Zhang Ming En. It’s similar to The Lost Tomb. He is from a line of doctors, and she’s the descendant of the Five Great Families of the Chong tribe. As they follow the trail leading to Chong treasures, they discover secrets of the past.
=======> ♦ Cheng Yi is pairing up next with Ying Er in Deep Lurk (迷局破之深潜). This is a republican spy drama with the focus on resistance during the Japanese invasion. Ying Er always gives me the feeling that she’s much older than her male lead, she’s only 30! CY is 29.

They need to stop putting Luo Yunxi in dramas and not airing any of them. This is his third drama that I’m waiting for lol

All of his dramas finished filming this year (Broker in April, And The Winner Is Love in September and ove is Sweet just started) and it would typically take a year for dramas to air.

Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi is always the pairing I needed… but would much prefer it for a wuxia or historical romance. Still, I’d take what I get.
Yang Mi and Bai Yu’s drama seems interesting as well.
