    It is too bad Big Madam’s visiting sister is such a bitch. This show is full of strong women and I liked the idea of another generation of wise women (ie. her parents age versus her grandmother’s age) taking shape. But then she went all complaining behind Ming Lan’s back and I was disappointed again. That generation is full of weak ladies (Qi Heng’s mother, Princess of Pingning, Big Madam, etc.) who bend under pressure from society. The grannies all know where it’s at!

      minglan’s grandma is one of my favorite characters in the whole show. she’s such a badass with class, integrity, and kindness. which is why she raised the best granddaughter in minglan!

      also, i like how minglan’s starting to show her inner badass now that she’s married gu tingye, who loves her for who she is and encourages her to show her true self. i love seeing minglan and gu tingye put evil people in their place 🙂

    I have been faithfully watching Minglan everyday and I must say that I have not been disappointed. I love grandma to bits and I love the camaderie between ML and her sisters Hualan and Rulan (through she is quite bratty). With Minglan slowly calculating every moves to counter off GTY’s evil stepmom and insipid families, and having to faced the return of Manniang, it has been an epic week. I love the way GTY is dealing with people in his “I don’t care what you think ……” attitude. This last episode showed ML gaining the gratitude of the queen and getting a friend in General Shen’s main wife. Slowly she is building a strong powerful entourage counterring all the bad negative rumours about her and her husband. Love it !!!!

    Lol I love how they made MingLan clueless on matters of the heart. It makes her as heartless as the MingLan in the novel because both are cold and detached to protect their heart but due to different circumstances. And the fact that she drives GTY batty lmao.

    Gty asks,”why are you not jealous?”
    Qiheng asks,”why do you not hate me?”

    Being understanding is actually her biggest flaw. Lol. How ironic.
